I was a latecomer to the Switch. I did the whole GameCube and Wii thing. Skipped the WiiU and until now the Switch. Mainly because I assumed it would be Nintendos usual slightly less powerful console offering that they had done for the previous 3 generations. While its true that in many of the titles shared between the consoles, you probably arent going to be able to match the graphics quality of the PS4 or XBOX One in a side by side comparison, games can be beautiful and fun without needing photo realistic models.Nintendo has always had a way of taking its exclusives and flagships and producing visually stunning artistic landscapes Zelda is just awesome and pairing them with original scores that perfectly convey the emotions and mood of the moment. Most of the titles available on the more powerful systems are also available for the Switch The Witcher 3, Red Dead Online, CoD, Battlefield. There may be reduced graphics compared to the others, but only enough to allow smooth gameplay. In my opinion, unless you are playing the same title on multiple consoles, the differences are unnoticeable while immersed in playing. The fact you can dockundock without stopping your game, its compact size paired with a large screen, along with all the other little conveniences it has far outweigh a few slightly lower res shadows or textures.

Well there is a lot to like but as with everything in life there are disappointments too. I really dont think this battery will last for nine hours, it uses a surprising amount after only two hours. Before making a purchase I read that if I already had a nintendo account I could transfer my purchases to the new system, NO. First of all there is a nintendo account, nintendo online account, and a third account of some kind that I dont fully understand. All of my nes and snes games that I purchased cant be downloaded. No, nintendo is greedy beyond words. That is where nintendo online comes in. For a subscription you can play some old games. I was fairly angry when I saw this. Actually playing games is pretty good and easy but there is, in my humble opinion, a lot of unnecessary tapping the screen and buttons to get a game started. Overall it is a nice system I really do like the TV console to a handheld design. It is a large handheld design but even the two joycons can be used as separate controllers. There are a lot of games that can be downloaded, for children mostly but also some for adults.

This was a great find. I was worried I wouldnt be able to get this before Christmas as it was sold out everywhere else. I had no issues getting this item. My only issue was that the employee lifted it out of the non descript packaging when bringing it to my car and it was a gift for my son, who was in the car Ugh But I was able to come up with an excuse so that he did not know it was for him. The device was in perfect condition and I love the portability and ease of set up. I dont mind having to repurchase games for different consoles, I just wish the gaming community had a way to save progress on an account for a particular game and use that progress across consoles. I hate that you have to start over when using familiar games on a different gaming system. One can only dream

The switch has amazing features. The ability to switch from stationary to portable is second to none. The controllers are awesome. The battery life is mind blowing.however the way in which accounts are managed, subscriptions required for Minecraft and other logins are absolutely nerve racking. In order for my two young children to play simultaneously I have to create multiple advanced login profiles with email addresses, ECT… No what I expected and not what I was required to do on previous platforms.Furthermore the lack of apps available is disappointing. The simple fact that there is NO BROWSER says it all. This platform was a good effort but sloppy. Dont unplug the Xbox. Youll be needing it still for Disney, Hulu, Amazon prime ECT… It has Netflix and YouTube… yippee.Personally my favorite feature is the cloud games with retro Mario, ECT… For the price youre better off going with Rasp Pi if thats all you want. The best thing for the kids is the fact it undocks. So fighting siblings Undock and seperate them One plays xbox, the goes mobile on switch. My youngest loves it but I have a feeling if he was older hed see through these disadvantages and not be interested either. The new Mario games are nice. If you are addicted to the legacy you will require this machine to run proprietary games like this. Gameplay is smooth and nice although controllers sometimes are difficult to syncswitch input methods and even undock from the handheld leases. Youll appreciate holding two partial controllers and the ability to have more natural form playing as opposed to being hunched over and unnatural position with conventional controllers. My take its nice but make sure theres not something major missing for you first.

Pros I bought it for the fitness game Ringfit and for that it is very good, if one can put up with the silly American approach to this. I know it is a fitness programme with a game attached, but still…. It is irritating a little.Cons The controllers never seem to indicate a full charge. Only one or two leds light up even if it the device has been placed on charge for hours. I havent tested the length of time though that the controllers work until discharged. Also, I would have preferred an instruction book something that is lacking with many products these days as they gear everything to be online. As an older user, I prefer good oldfashioned booklets

While we are enjoying this new game console I have 2 complaints.1st, the load times to transition in the game appear to be no better than our original game console.Seems there couldve been some improvement.2nd, the joystick function seems to lack precision.Im comparing that to our original Nintendo controllers. But we are enjoying it. The portability will be a plus, as well as the HD hookup and external storage upgrade.Have fun trying to get your hands on one thoughIt took me 2months of trying to secure oneI even had 2 in checkout that didnt survive the time it took to check them out 3rd time was the charm.I ended up having all the accessories before I was able to purchase the console

The perfect hybrid The best feature and biggest selling point of the Nintendo switch is the fact that it can be used as a home console by placing it on the dock and playing on your TV, or removing it from the dock and taking it with you wherever you go. Sure its not going to have the same power or graphical capabilities as my Xbox or Playstation, but thats not why you buy a switch. I will gladly take that compromise with many not all games to take them with me portably.Game exclusives I play my xbox or playstation depending on friends online mainly to play cross platform games such as Call of Duty, Madden, Apex, etc. There have been few exclusives that have wowed me on xbox and playstation the way Nintendo exclusives have. Zelda BOTW quickly became my favorite game by far. Mario Kart is the perfect game to play when you have friends or family over. And games like Splatoon 2 just give a different and fun meaning to shooters. These just are a few of the games I have had a blast playing.Overall, the Switch has become my favorite console so far. I now know why they have been sold out everywhere during the pandemic. If you can get your hands on one, I highly recommend it

I had been looking for this particular system as a requested gift for my 7yr old grandchild. Although this system can out a year earlier, my grandchild was too young I thought to have this gaming system. Boy was I ever wrong. Not only was she old enough, but she has no problem opening and setting up the system by herself. Not only has she shown her mom how to play, she has defeated most of the adults that she plays with. Another good thing about this system is that it can be broken down and used as a takealong game system which she can play by herself. I am glad I purchased this system as it can be played with others or by ones self. I would highly recommend for anyone that loves to play games.

Ive been waiting forever to finally get my hands on a switch, I took forever deciding which color I wanted and where I wanted to buy it from and was just waiting on the opportunity. Pokmon snap came out and I decided I couldnt wait any longer, bestbuy had the refurbished ones in stock but I wanted to wait it out until I could get a new one from the factory, in hopes of not inheriting someone elses problem to save myself 20. I finally was able to order online for in store pick up, but had to wait a few days for it to arrive at the store so with heavy anticipation I waited for it to arrive at the store, then as soon as I got the notification hurried to the store to pick it up and a copy of snap. When I picked it up I had noticed the box a little roughed up but shrugged it off thinking it was what it was. I got it home and set it up no problem and was able to play snap, it was great, played for maybe 1520 hours over the next few days but the console never left its base that was attached to my tv in my bedroom, I took it from the charger to play handheld for only a couple hours total time over the next 9 days as I preferred it on the TV. It never left the house, was dropped, exposed to sunlight or rain or anything out of the ordinary but on the 9th day after bringing it home I went to turn it on and nothing. I tried the troubleshooting online and a lot of folks were saying maybe the battery died and I had to plug it in for maybe a couple hours before it will turn on. I left it plugged straight into the wall, as in I took the charger out of the base to plug it directly into the device, for the entire day but it wouldnt turn on. I called the Bestbuy support who was helpful and informed me that I could choose to use the geek squad protection I had purchased or returnexchange it until 14 days after purchase thank god. I decided since I hadnt dont anything at all to it and it wasnt working so soon after purchasing, and this not happening to any of the other dozen or more people I know with one, that it was best to exchange it for another one. When I went to exchange it I was told they were out of stock but could order one to deliver to my house, at first then was quickly told that it actually wasnt possible to do that. So I returned it and still now a couple weeks later, have 2 switch games in a drawer that I cannot play.

This console is perfect. While it will be outdated by the new generation of consoles, it is very difficult to match to switch. Its a all in one system. You can take it anywhere or play it on your tv. This Animal Crossing version is very good looking as well. I was a little bummed out to have to buy the game separately but it was worth the extra 60 in my opinion. If there was one thing I would be weary of its that you need to buy games with it. I made the mistake of not purchasing any games with it and had nothing to play so I ended up buying smash bros and animal crossing. The free games are alright but they are the same as any console like fortnite or rocket league. If you are getting this console, buy some games with it.

I purchased this system on Black Friday for a cracking little deal after getting the itch to return to Nintendo after many years. Its technically meant to be a Christmas present but Ive tested it out a little and man is it impressive. So far Ive only tried some of the retro SNES NES games available via Nintendo online and a very little chunk of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe which came included. For anyone on a very tight budget though please be warned that the motion controllers that come with the console are well known for having a drift issue after a certain amount of usage which you should look into before purchasing, not everyone has been affected by this but its quite a high percentage of users around 30, I personally plan on picking up a pro controller down the line though so wont be sticking with the joycons forever.Graphically, the only actual Switch game Ive played so far is Mario Kart 8 but was very impressed by the visuals, very colourful, very vivid, very sharp and responsive. The console itself including the joycons feel of good quality that you would expect from Nintendo minus the aforementioned drift issue.Needless to say Im very much looking forward to getting my teeth into the 3 other games I bought for it on Christmas day too. If you have kids who are old enough to use a controller I couldnt recommend this system enough, me and my son will be having a blast with itWith this console, your kids will also be a lot less exposed to bad language or other negative behaviour than they would be compared to any other console due to the way Nintendos voice chat works another thing you should look into and the fact that Nintendo are well known to be the most family friendly.Games I would highly recommend to get started for kids and adults alike. Mario Kart 8.. Mario Odyssey.. Zelda Breath of The Wild.. Super Smash Bros Ultimate.. Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze.. Luigis Mansion 3.. Super Mario Maker 2 For creative kids to make their own levels.. Splatoon 2.. Pokemon Sword or Shield You dont need both.. Minecraft.. The Witcher 3 Adults only.

The Switch is Nintendos 7th home console since they launched the NesFamicom back in the 80s. After the failure of their previous console, the Wii U, of which I own alongside a slew of other Nintendo consoles and handhelds, Nintendo seems to have gotten their magic back, and the Switch is a worldwide phenomenon. What is the Switch The Nintendo Switch is like most traditional home gaming consoles in that it can be connected and hook up to a tv for gameplay, so as long as its in the dock. However, unlike other home gaming consoles, it can fully function as a traditional gaming handheld device, by connecting the joy cons to the side of the console rails, similar to other Nintendo handhelds. It can also be used in tabletop mode. I purchased a few games Smash, Xenoblade DE, Mario Kart, an online membership, and a Pro Controller, which I highly recommend, so Im ready to play Lets hope joy con drifting doesnt set in All in all, as someone whos been playing Nintendo since the 64 days, Ive continued to stick with them, and will do so, for as long as possible. Great job, Nintendo

I held off on buying this for my six yearold for as long as I could. I honestly didnt know much about it other than how expensive it was. I bought it for him for Christmas about four years ago, and its been nothing short of amazing. The online Nintendo store where you can download games right to the handheld console, the ability to play on the go or on the tv at home, the ease of playing with others wirelessly all make this a phenomenal piece of technology. Yes, weve had several issues with the controllers and have actually had to send in two sets for repair straight to Nintendo, but they were pretty great about it and paid shippingrepair costs each time. Is this a pain Yes. Should it happen with something so expensive Absolutely not. But is it small in comparison to issues you could have with such a system Most assuredly. My advice purchase another set of controllers to have on backup just in case. You really cant go wrong with this console.

THE GOODThe design and colors are so pretty. Also the battery seems to last a lot longer than my original switch. There is no drift on the remotes as of right now. If you love the ACNH design and feel that is enough to go ahead and get it then act fast before these units are back on amazon for almost double the price.THE BAD The screen is very easy to bend, my toddler accidentally sat on it for .5 seconds and the screen had a slight bend to it. I didnt notice it till i went to put it back on the dock and it was kinda hard to fit. I had to unbend it by hand kinda scary when this is a 300 toy All the reviews saying that the system is loose while docked are 100 true so if you are going spend the money on getting this system buy a screen protector asap If you already own a switch, i personally dont think this is that much different to be worth the money.THE UGLY The near 400 charge on my credit card system and insurance

it came in with a crack in screen which kind of sucked. waiting on a replacement to come in the mail. i minimally used it for about 2 days before i had the chance to bring it back to bestbuy.the device seems to be made out of very cheap plastic, which surprised me. the screen is also made out of plastic, so i recommend getting a screen protector on the day before or the day you buy the console. youll need it. the battery life isnt the greatest i noticed while playing new horizons. it also doesnt help that the charging cord is so short.the interface is kind of weird regarding lack of customization and creativity.enough with the negatives i loved the minimal gameplay i had with detached joycons. its super fun and convenient, even without being docked to a tv. the switch super easy to use and the animal crossing edition is just the cutest thing in person. its vibrant and exactly what youd expect.the price tag is definitely worth it despite the plastic its made of and the battery life. having the access to nintendo exclusive games is the best benefit despite its versatility.

Why is the getting started with a digital game so hardCant enter download code via phone which could mean copy paste. Entering the code manually is such a pain. Then when you login to eshop and download the game, it doesnt show on the hole screen. Now if you wish to check the download you have to login again. And again password cant be entered via phone which means enter it manually again. In this screen it says download started, but there is no progress bar or anything.Kids are getting frustrated on how to play the game.Someone at Nintendo needs to test as a parent. Will update the review if kids are able to play the game at all.

Great console and outstanding battery life.On a full charge I can go throughout the entire day without thinking of even plugging it back in before I go to bed at the end of the day. This console is stock in terms of having any theme. I wasnt interested in animal crossing or monster hunter so I decided to go with this. The only reason I can see getting a limited console is if you like the game its themed around or just want some pizzazz.Otherwise just get this.If youre wanting an full at home experience the dock allows you to plug and play into a tv and provides all the accessories you need to do so. If you strictly want a handheld you should buy a lite.Overall Im satisfied with my product. Have owned it for about a month now and couldnt be happier with the product.

I am retired and I guess you would say our families have always been middletolower income families and Generation after Generation of kids have always known that just because Ricky has it never meant that you too should have itso dont ask why notI bought this Nintendo Switch 32 GB for my 10year old Grandson for Christmas. Not only did it take financial planning to be able to purchase a 400. toy but I also had to get past my Old School upbringing from my parents that spending even a third of this kind of money on kids for toys was beyond ridiculous and unimaginable Give them a jumprope, a doll that doesnt wet, cry, crawl or bat her eyes, or a bat and ball, or even a scooter and I do NOT mean an electric powered one.But I have to admit I was excited. Happiness is in the Giving and making Others happy. Maybe you can only do it once. I had a box and I hid the Switch under a false bottom then placed a number of small items individually wrapped in the box on top of the false bottom. Then wrapped the box with lots of colorful Christmas paper and lots of tapeHis mother was in on itand ready with a camera.Once he got the box opened, my Grandson expressed happiness and excitement as he opened each individually wrapped gift, saying thank you after each. We have done our best to bring him up to appreciate giving and receiving. At first he started to pick up the paper wrappings and stuff them back into the box, but suddenly hesitated his Mom and I kept talking pretending to not pay attention. I guess he was remembering how I always play tricks with gifts and his mind was working overtime. He took the paper back out and kept turning the now empty box upside down and kind of rattling it. He looked up at us with a questionable look saying, I think theres something in the bottom, it still feels kinda heavy. Im like, ReallyWith all the sadness, heartache, frustrations and difficulties going on today in every wake of our lives I wish everyone could have seen his face and heard his shouts of No Way, No Way, No Way It would have taken everyone back to a day when they too recd something unbelievable, a hope not dared to be hoped….a childs heart bursting with pure happiness, joy and delight That 400. was really very, very little.Of course now weeks later his Mother and I sometimes have our doubts when we have to pry the thing from his hands fearful that its melted into his skin LOL

What can I say, its an animal crossing themed switch I got this for my girlfriend so we could play switch games together, and she loves it. Im also a bit jealous of it myself haha. The color scheme is so cool and the doing station really ties it all together. Definitely one of the best looking special edition switches out there In terms of performance, it works just like a normal switch just cosmetically different. The only aspect that I think is interesting is that even though its an animal crossing themed switch, it doesnt come with the animal cross game. But with it being priced the same as a normal switch I guess I cant say Im all that surprised. I would definitely recommend grabbing one of these if your in the market for a switch

I am inclined to be positive about animal crossing series games since I adored the previous two. I was drawn in by the lack of forced binary gender, the furnitureclothingfacial customisability and the lovely visuals. This one made a big attempt at making social connectivity a large part of how it works which I imagine would be fab if all your friends are big fans of the series. However, for most of us that isnt true, and a lot of people I know found the game very easy to drop due to its lack of drive to play outside of social connection and events. I really wanted to love New Horizons since the visual style is fantastic, but the gameplay makes me feel like I ran out of things to do bar making sure I have in game money for expensive furniture. Most of all I feel like they dropped the ball on the musical side in exchange for trying to make the game feel more modern and relateable. One of the big parts of New Leaf was its musical score, and while its music would be tough to beat the least they could have done was make the overworld music bearable while on constant repeat. I feel like Im rushing to escape it.So although New Horizons is intended to be continuously played, unless you have a close knit gaming circle to play with, you will probably lose interest faster than you think.

The switch is indeed fun and exciting, but only at the MSRP. I chose to buy it not at MSRP, which is definitely not what I would recommend anyone else dounless if you have money to burn, that is. Now onto the specifics 1. The console itself. The actual handheld switch is very comfortable in the hands, personally. I also like that I can take it anywhere in the house, and perhaps watch Hulu on the handheld console while Im doing the dishes, or doing the laundry especially with the screen size being bigger than even my current phone, the Galaxy S20. That being saidwhile they are loudthe quality of the sound from the speakers is a little iffy. 2. The Dock The easy switching from using the console to docking and switching to the TV is one of the main selling points, and it should be The process is extremely easy and causes no frustration for meand I love being able to just continue right where I left off from having the handheld console, on the TV. 3. The Pricing. The pricing that nintendo has especially for the people like me that like having digital downloads, is definitely something to consider before you buy this product. With things such as my kids accounts not being able to play the games I own without me buying them a second time on their profile, thepricing for using the Switch can definitely be costly.

I have the original Nintendo Switch. I was overjoyed when I was surprised with it for my birthday a few years back, because Nintendo was the console of choice in my household growing up and Ive owned most of them. The concept is awesome. Play as a regular console attached to your tv, in tabletop mode or handheld. Perfect for people who like one or the other, or want different experiences with different games. There are a good variety of games, with modern graphics. They also have a strong selection of indie games at various price points, and if you get their Nintendo Switch Online Subscription they have some of the older NES and SNES games you know and love. I love the joy cons and the different options for controllers. I do have to dock a star though, because on my original version before they upped the battery life the battery life is abysmal. Nintendo says its on average 3 hours, but usually its much much less depending on the demands of the game and screen brightness. This cuts down the portability of the system because unlike other consoles that ran on outdated double or triple A batteries, this is a modern system that requires charging to use. So you have to tote the cable around and hope that an outlet is nearby, and the cases they sell often dont have room for your charger. Another thing is the lack of bluetooth. I have bluetooth earbuds that I cant use with the system. When so many products use bluetooth nowadays it seems strange that they wouldnt include bluetooth. Overall though, this is a wonderful system that is versatile and suited for both individuals and families.

I never even realized this is a newer model with the best battery life. Better even then the switch lite. I personally love the aspect of being able to connect it to the TV via dock or take it with you at a moments notice. The first game anybody should try is Zelda breath of the wild. Although it will be tricky for anyone under 10. The console has never failed me after owning it for almost a year now. One thing to note. Nintendo just mentioned if you go over a year without charging it the console might die completely as the battery will not charge at all. If your a parent buying this for your kid that shouldnt be an issue as youd expect him or her to play it constantly but just something to note.Games to try again Zelda breath of the wild. Obviously marioa odyssey. Theres the new Maria all stars thats actually a 3 game bundleits not jew games just 3 older games that were on other Nintendo consoles but lots of value there as your getting 3 games for the price of one, but also its a limited run meaning its only going to be in stores while supplies last. Those are some to start of if your buying this as a present for your little one. Obviously you will know your child the best but those are some games anybody will enjoy. Hope this helps someone.

This console is so fun There are so many games to choose from on the Nintendo eshop for the switch that are affordable and amazing. I got this console for the releases of both Fire Emblem Three Houses and Animal Crossing New Horizons. I love that a years subscription with Nintendo online is also affordable only 20 I know the initial cost is intimidating, but I would say its definitely worth it in the long run With the console you can also slip out the switch to make a portable screen with the remotes on either side. If youre feeling like going somewhere but also want to take your video games, the switch can make that dream come true Its so easy to switch from console to hand held.

As a PlayStation gamer and happy owner of PS4 Pro 500 Million Edition, I have to say that one more time that graphics does not matter real gamers. The proof Here you have it if you reading this, Nintendo Switch is your answer. From the time I have bought it this the console Im using most. The hybrid idea of the console was an great move from Nintendo. I really enjoy that possibility to play on go, and continue on big screen. Theres tons of great not expensive games in the eShop and new ones comes almost everyday. Battery in this new revision model last enought time or even to much for one playthrough. Therere only few complaints I have, the joyconcontroller is to small for bigger hands, the games made by Nini are way overpriced no official price drops like on PS4 and costs of digital games are the same price as on PlayStation or higher but.. they should be a little cheaper in my opinion. Also the dock have some design flaws and before you dock your console you better install screen protector in MediaMarkt service point as it will be scratched. On big plus is the reward system with coins you get for every game you buy, even from aftermarket the coins can be redeemed only 5x as I think. If you gather enough of these you can grab a free game from eShop, or use them to drop the price of more expensive games. Honestly that console is a must have for every gamer no matter if youre a fan of Sony,MS or a PC gamer. Just go and buy it

This is a very nice Switch bundle in my opinion. Ive owned the switch since it released in 2017, but I recently got my hands on the animal crossing special edition as well as this new Mario special edition. This Mario edition is my favorite switch due to the uniform red color as well as the included carrying case AND screen protector in the box. To my knowledge, no other bundle has included such accessories. The red on the switch looks great, and this is the first switch for North America that has a fully colored body.Overall I am quite pleased with this bundle and definitely think it was worth the regular msrp. If youre on the fence, I say go for it

Been trying and trying to get a switch for a while and finally got my hands on one. It was real easy to setup and was even able to easily setup a wireless controller to it too. Seems smaller than I thought but obviously thats a good thing for portability. I chose this over the Xbox or PS45 over its form factor and portability. And the fact that you can still play on a big TV using the dock. I also like how I can buy games both digitally and physically. With the other newer consoles you have to choose between one that does both or one that is digital only. I dont have many games yet but I plan on building my collection soon. Cant wait to start to be able to travel more and take this with me on long plane rides to pass the time away. Highly recommend the Nintendo Switch if you can get your hands on one. Good luck.

A small compact unit that is geared for both TV and portable gaming. In hand held mode you can utilize the touch screen which is an added bonus. With a variety of fun games available Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong you cant go wrong with this unit. Look out for deals that include a game and also I would recommend that you consider the following additional cost to ensure you get the most out of your unit1. MicroSD card.2. Case Protector.3. Nintendo Joycon Wheel For any racing game but specifically Mario Karts.4. Wired or Switch Pro controller as the Joycons are not the most comfortable.5. Yearly subscription to Nintendo Online for access to online gaming and some free games currently you can play a large number of early Nintendo and SNES games.

To anyone writing a bad review because it doesnt come with the game it literally doesnt say ANYWHERE that it does. Try reading the description, dont give poor reviews for your own lack of reading comprehension Its also the same price as a normal switch, it would be more if the game was included. That being said, its perfect, and the left joy con doesnt drift on this one which is awesome. Its so cute and fun to play. I got it back in April and its still holding up well, although now that its back in stock Im thinking about buying another to have spare joy cons since these are so much better than the regular ones i wish theyd sell those separately thats my only complaint Great buy D

The Nintendo Switch console was out of stock for most of 2020 during the Covid Pandemic. I used to check the stores frequently but now it seems that it is back in stock everywhere. I was very happy with the console. It has a nice sized screen which is 6.2 inches. The console lasts a long time on full charge, apparently it is between 3 to 6 hours depending on the graphics of the game. I played Crysis and I was able to play for more than 3 hours. The sound is also loud enough and the graphics for Mario games is good and the vibrate function is also great too. There are a lot of games on the market both physical cartridges and in the Nintendo Store. A lot of games are on sale too which is always good. I have to say, of all the Nintendo Consoles, I think it wins hands down purely because of how many games are out right now, I think there is about 100 games out right now.

Beautiful system. Im a bit late to the Switch party. Heads up. The included controller accessory for the joy cons is not the chargeable version and doesnt feature an Animal Crossing paint scheme. I plan on getting a pro controller anyway. The switch itself is remarkably simple. The docking isnt a pain. The store is pretty cool if you search for roguelike itll show you roguelikes. Wish they had more indie games from PC on Switch. Also bummer FF6 isnt included as a playable SNES title but maybe some day well see the mobile PC version on there and other great RPGS from that era.

Ive been waiting for a fully colored switch since they started releasing multicolored joycons beyond the original red and blue. when this was released i didnt hesitate to get it because my favorite color is blue and its finally fully colored. NOTHING on the console itself is blue lol. if youd buy this used you wouldnt even know its a RED BLUE edition. the grip is blue and the little plastic top buttons are blue but being a handheld theyre always in a bag most of the time and all i get is red. the included case is nice but its lackluster and fits very few items apart from your games and switch. I was also saddened that the new Mario game wasnt included even though it was released the same day.

Honestly a great and cute purchase. Bought this with my boyfriend for curbside pickup and it was ready within the hour even though in store hours were close. The man politely brought it out and it was a very safe fast process. Was in perfect condition and had an adorable bear coated back with the animal crossing logo. The joysticks are a beautiful blue and green color for each side. Comes with helpful instructions and everything you need to easily set it up without issues. Took less than 5 minutes to connect to the tv and play it. Just make sure you have a Nintendo account.

The Nintendo Switch is an awesome, versatile system. You can play it three ways Docked picture on TV, handheld joycons next to the screen, or in tabletop mode screen on the table with the builtin kickstand joycons or controllers in your hands. In docked mode, you get 1080P video. In the other two modes, you get 720P or sometimes 540P, with a small number of games. The joycons can be used in numerous orientations. Switch games are sometimes more expensive than other systems when you purchase the game physically what they call the Switch tax, but there are sales on digital games in the eshop practically every week. Highly recommended.

The console is awesome and has great exclusives. I always thought I would have to get a separate joycon to get a blue and green combo, but with this I didnt have to. Even when I wont play animal crossing I like the theme because it gives color to the dock and a design to the console so it doesnt feel bland. I find that the battery life is better than expected because i have found myself playing for more than 5 hours breath of the wild without getting the warning, but I most confess I dont have exact numbers on that. I dont like the lack of bluetooth and I had to get an adapter because the corded headphones are not cool in the position theyre in. Also the online gaming experience lacks immensely. I cant even invite friends through the games. All in all I really like the console and that it comes ready for 2 players from the get go.

Pros A very refreshing gaming experience.Very easy to jump in and play. On other consoles you start them up and first have to complete a 100GB update, updates on the switch are small so dont hold you up for long. The design is very well thought out and the console feels well made in your hands. Particularly how solid the slide on joy cons are which you might expect to be flimsy but theyre a real highlight. The graphics are good enough. Ive played Witcher in 4K on Xbox and now Ive played it on the Switch I can honestly say the experience is no worse for it at least in hand held mode. Obviously the Witcher is an intense world to render. Games like Zelda Breath of the Wild and Pokmon SwordShield lend themselves well to the Switch because they present beautiful, artful worlds that give a sense of wonder without having to rely on the realism that most other games aim for these days.Value for money, well, I bought one of these soon after theyd first came out in a bundle deal and felt like it was good value. I sold that console to help furnish a new flat which I regretted, so when I bought this one I was surprised that the cost is still the same But, it has held its value because it is good value.Cons Slightly annoyed that soon after I bought this they announced the OLED version…This model has improved battery and you can play for a good amount of time in handheld mode hours. I would just like the charging to be faster.

We already have a switch and I am getting my five year old his own for Easter so he and his brother. An play together, but this is NOT a bungled. The actual game isnt included. My husband has all sorts of limited edition systems that he keeps to play or sell in the future. This is a collectors item, but if you are looking for the game and console I think its a better buy to get the regular unless your kid really loves the game and you already own it. Since my son has only played Mario games I decided not to get this one, but if like my husband you want a collector item then this might do the trick, but I dont think it is that popular to really want collecting it, but maybe that is why you should get it because one day everyone will say what happened to those and people will say nobody bought them and they will be in style again and worth a fortune who knows. I will say cant go wrong with the switch. I personally love it, but I wish I could watch Netflix and access fb even if they made a new one with more access to apps and stuff and raised the price I would probably buy it because this system really is awesome. I get to play with my kids and by myself. I recommend getting the Zelda game not breath of wild but the new cartoon one. My five and ten year old love this system We take it in the car when traveling and pretty much anytime we might need the kids to be occupied if we are somewhere boring that takes a long time and the kids earn screen time. The games cost as much as the ones on PlayStation and Xbox which we have the new consoles of those too and we use the switch way more enough to buy two. I wont buy this one because it doesnt include the game and I dont feel its much of a collector item unless you love animal crossing but that is something my son is getting for Easter with his own switch mainly because I hate having to share when I want to play lol. If this came with the game it would be worth the price but this particular one I think you can do better maybe just add some animal crossing decal stickers to the original one or buy the Mario one if you want something that might hold more value. Now we just need ti add access to other apps and maybe include a VR system to it and it would be the perfect system.

Fantastic console, perfect for those that want to play on the go or simply want a console that they can play anywhere in the house. Compact, lightweight and very comfortable to hold its a delight to play. The Nintendo roster of games are available digitally and physically but I would say that just getting yourself a 512gb SD card and then load that up with games and that will let you play to your hearts content. Battery life is very good, you can play for a good 6 hours before needing a charge and even then charging is about 2 hours fully and you can still play it on the TV while its charging, so your games basically keep going. In all this is a brilliant little console that is a must need for anyone that wishes to game on the move but wants the ability to play on the big screen too without having to carry around too much stuff to make that happen.

We love this Nintendo Switch. I thought that it was going to be difficult to figure out but we figured it out right away. The controllers are very easy to use. I like that we can leave it on the dock and play it on the television set or remove the game and take it anywhere we want. The graphics are amazing on both screens. Mario Cart 8 has a lot of different tracks to play. There are 3D tracks, curving and winding tracks and tracks that go underwater. It also allows you to customize your bike or car and choose your character and your wheels. The graphics are sharp and stunning. I definitely recommend this for hours of entertainment and fun. I love that it is portable and easy to take on the go. There are a lot of games to choose from for the Nintendo Switch and it even allowed us to add a memory card to save our game progress while adding extra storage. I definitely recommend this for all ages.

I was saving my reward points for a switch for a while, and when i finally had the funds for it aka Free switch from reward points thats when all went south around the world. One thing that happened was that people were buying the console immidiately just to flip it on Ebay for double the price. So for twothree months i was looking for the console at BestBuy and no luck. I installed the BestBuy app, and after a couple of weeks of looking for the console, i finally saw that Grey Sold Out turn Yellow Add to Cart. I hit my reward points and immediately added the console to my cart. I hit purchase and got itEnough Story. Onto the SystemIt handles Beautifully, great game library, pretty decent battery life for how powerful the system is. The joycons are actually pretty cool, although i like more meat on my controller so i bought a regualr 20 controller to use with it. I will say that my main complain is that the Dock is super cheap it works, however sometimes it disconnects from the TV, and it just kind of low quality, lots of edges becareful with the switch screen around it.I highly recommend this, while i use PC for most of my games, this console has turned into my favorite followed by the PS2. But at the same time it is also a handheld so it has turned into my favorite handheld console followed by the 3DS XL.

You get this so you can play Mario and all those games. Which is amazing and so much fun. But Im not a fan that this is not 1080p resolution at least, either on the handheld console as well as the input signal on the TV. I also tried Fortnite but it only runs at 30 frames which makes the game unplayable to me. There is not one reason why I would play on switch when I can play at least in my ps4. Dont even get me started on the controllers. The buttons are so small and they are so close together that I cant play well. I keep tapping the surrounding buttonsjoystick. Im a woman, so I have smaller hands. I cant imagine how men play in this console with those tiny controllers. Theyre also not at all ergonomic. The handheld console is not easy to grab even if you start to get used to it. I dont think this console is worth the price, but you buy it because of Mario games. Buyer beware.

I love using this one compared to the original Neon blue and red, just because the red of the Switch console itself. Its more aesthetically pleasing to the eye, the Carrying case is pretty standard, but the pattern on it with the Mario Hat and Stache, Overalls, and Glove looks quite nice, the straps having that yellow button again looks nice. This switch works like all the others, so no difference there, it does comes with a Screen Protector, albeit not that good of one, but better to have than to not have right, plus its technically free alongside the purchase of this switch. All in all, Im satisfied with my purchase, if I do have nitpick though, I wouldve liked if they made the Dock in the blue color, giving the faded logo a yellow look to it, just to contrast a bit more, and drive home the Mario part of the Mario Red and Blue, Its pretty much the Mario Red edition in my honest opinion. Thats pretty much my only nitpick on it, other than that it works like the switch usually does, I like being able to go from TV to Handheld.

I really wasnt sure if I wanted to get a Nintendo Switch. But now I love the Switch Im just getting into it in 2021. I was first a PC player and then just a Playstation player. I love the Switchs versatility going from handheld to docked mode. I play mine mainly docked on my 4k monitor. The stock joycons arent that comfortable so I bought the Hori Split Pad controllers, and I use a Pro controller while docked. Theres also the joycon drift issue but I havent experienced that. The first party games on the Switch are unique from Playstation and Xbox. They give you game experiences that are unique to Nintendo. There are also good 3rd party games that have been brought to the Switch. Overall Ive been very impressed with the Switch and its been the only console Ive played for the last 34 months. Well just have to see if Nintendo brings on a revised Switch in the next year or so. I highly recommend the Switch

Gone… they were all gone, GameStop, target, Walmart everywhere, but for some reason I decided to check Best Buy every once in a while. One day I saw that it was in stock, I thought it might have been a glitch in the system but sure enough when I got that confirmation email and the pick up email it was all real. I recommend to do check the website or app often, it does come back in stock every once in a while since Ive checked in again before and saw it in go in stock Most likely one or two in stock at a time cuz it immediately goes out of stock. So if you see it in stock TAKE ADVANTAGE IMMEDIATELYNow to the ACTUAL review its everything to be expected, amazing. I wanted the switch because I wanted a hand held gaming system like the psp RIP old friend while also being able to be active and play with friends like the regular wii, and this was the perfect fit. I did get the 256 Sandisk memory card cuz a friend says the storage goes quickly, plus there was a massive sale on it so it was worth it. Very fun and Im glad I was able to snag one.

I started playing Nintendo games when I was 11 years old. Since then I am a very big fan of Nintendo games especially Super Mario Games. What I felt with this console is not enough strong for handheld method compared to Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo WII U Gamepad. These two are very strong as myself and my kids are still playing withit. The first Switch console didnt function after one and a half year. The Joy cons are not strong enough for the regular use compared to other controllers such as Nintendo Wii and WIIU. I ended up with buying a second console. My recommendation is connected switch to a TV or a Computer monitor instead of using as a handheld might have longer life. Thanks for your time on reading this.

Its an amazing idea of a console, but falls flat in a number of departments.First off, the power of this console is so dated. It was dated by many years even the day it was released. Now in 2020, even more so. Games looks absolutely terrible on this console and the frames arent any better. Games look like they belong on a ps2 and Id say some ps2 games look even better. Also, you have Nintendo. SO that means they will do teh bare minimum many times and you will almost always have to pay full price for games because they never lower the price of their games. Also, they have had a lot of hardware issues with the controllers, I thankfully havent had issues yet, but I dont play it that much and not with the joycons usually.

Perfect console for kids or adult kids. My wife got me this for my birthday and I love it. Was originally a Playstation guy, but couldnt wait any longer for the PS5 so I settled for the Switch. It was actually a better decision in my opinion. The game Breath of the Wild alone is worth buying this thing for. Not only that, but there are a lot of good multiplayer games like Mario Golf, Smash Brothers, and Mario Kart with the PS5 is lacking. Portability is a very nice feature. You can disconnect the main console and it becomes a larged sized Game Boy that can easily be taken on car rides or plane rides. The controllers arent the best, but you can buy the Pro Controllers for a little extra and give your friends the standard controllers for multiplayer games

It was probably quite revolutionary 3 years ago, but as processing power increases in the newer generation of consoles, getting a switch might be a hard sell. Other consoles have more third party support, more games, and you will get the best experience higher frame rates on either a PC or a next gen console. That coupled with the issues relating to joycon drift a problem occurring due to flimsy joysticks means youll have to treat them like delicate porcelain.Only get this if1 You have a strong cult following of Nintendo games such as I, and are willing to wait patiently by patiently I mean a good solid 23 years for Nintendo to release their strongest first party titles. This is what it boils down to. Games sell consoles, and Nintendo needs more first party games to compete.2 Youre just here to play Nintendo exclusives. You will almost always get the worst experience in any other game thats accessible on multiple platforms. Triple A titles from other devs will also give the shaft to the switch in most circumstances, as they demand higher processing power in future titles. Be honest, would you run a game off of a micro SD card or an SSD3 The convenience of switching between the TV screen and the handheld mode with incredible ease. This is one of the main features that I love, and it distinguishes itself from the competition with its incredible ease of use. No other mainline console does this with such finesse and simplicity, that I have to tip my hat off to Nintendo for this one.

Impulse purchase when I saw this finally available on Best Buy still cant believe I got lucky. This console was been MIA in retail stores and I refused to pay extra if purchased somewhere else since MSRP is already expensive. Anyway, as expected I love it. It is my go to stress buster from all the anxieties during this time of pandemic. How I wish had it earlier before shelter in place. Am no gamer or techy person, setting up was easy as long as you know how to read can follow instructions you can do it You can either buy your games thru Nintendos eshop or buy from storesonline stores. Games are still on the expensive side averaging 50 depending on the game so keep your eyes open for any good deals on games out there. My must have accessories for starters like me are screen protector, case protector and of course at least one game, you might need a micro SD too due to limited memory 32GB. If you have some spare micro SD you used from your old phones or camera it will work too save your money for your games instead.

I have always loved nintendo systems and games since I was a kid and the switch is included in that I love the blend of portability and at home, large screen use. The system runs well and rarely lags, and the screen a good size and resolution. The only downsides I would point out are these to prop up the tablet, the little kick stand being on one side really doesnt work. It often falls over if the surface isnt hard enoughsmooth enough. I would invest in a stand of sorts. The other downside that I was told of is that the joycon left joystick deteriorates and causes drifting. I bought the pro controller to fix that problem before it started, and the pro controller works very well and is very comfortable. Overall a great product

I have been a fan of Nintendo since the beginning, I have owned almost every one of their systems with the exceptions of the Virtual boy and the Wii U. While I had lost faith in them with the Wii and had hoped they would just turn to make third party games for Xbox and or Sony. They proved me wrong and made this great system. While not the graphical powerhouse of the other two, Nintendo has never put graphics above fun. Zelda Breath of the Wild looks fantastic on the switch, either in console dock at home, or in handheld mode on the go, and it was a joy to play. I must of played it for over 100 hours. This is the only system in my life that I own more than one. My kids who were not gamers, suddenly wanted to play this all the time. The only issue I have with this system would be the joycons, they have an issue that will inevitably pop up called the drift. The joy sticks become loose and will move your character with you wanting them to. At 80 for a new pair, its a tad pricey to replace them. That is why I would never buy the Switch Lite, those joycons are not removable, once they have the drift issue, they would have to be repaired. Pay the extra 100 and get the main Switch model. And splurge on the Pro Controller, I waited to get it for a long time and I wish I hadnt. That this is great, but again Pricey.

Ive been on the market for a Nintendo Switch for the past 2 years, but Ive been hesitanton the fence about it because of the lofty 300 price tag. However, this past year, with the release of Legend of Zelda A Link to the Past for the Switch, I just had to relive the experience that I once had way back when I played this game on the Nintendo Gameboy. So this past Black Friday, I decided to just go for it.After reading product reviews and other blogs, I quickly came to realize that Nintendo had just recently released an updated Switch with better hardware. And by hardware, I mean the battery. The original model included a battery which held a charge for 2.56.5 hours. The game system that comes with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, is likely that original model. The newer model is the exact same switch, from what I can tell, however it comes with a better battery. The newer batter can hold a charge from 4.59 hours. The unfortunate thing regarding the newer model is that currently, it does not come with a game. But, I decided to forgo getting a free game with a worse battery and instead purchased the new model. The important thing to know when shopping for a Switch is that the outside packaging box doesnt tell you which battery you are getting. So if you just grab one off the shelf, you wont know just by looking at the box if it is the old model or the new model. However, from what I have read online, you are able to tell based on the first 3 letters of the serial number. On the bottom of the box, locate the serial number. For the newer battery, look for the serial number that starts with XKW not XAW. XAW is the old model, while XKW is the new model.Additionally, if you are buying an open boxused switch, you can tell which model you are getting based on the MOD number on the back of the unit. When looking at the back, look for where it says MOD, if you want the newer model, you want the HAC00101 model. If it says the MOD is HAC001, that is the older model. While you are essentially getting a discount by purchasing a Nintendo Switch with a game included at the same price as a Switch without a game, I personally think its much better to get a console which comes with a longer battery charge.

Pros Its a portable game console so I can take it with me on the plane or car journeys. Its really easy to use and set up compared to other game systems. I like the fact Im able to play quite a few games Multiplayer with my sister as 2 controllers are included. The range of games and exclusives is good. I like the fact that Im able to play retro Nintendo games.Cons I think the switch is built quite flimsily. It feels like something that could break quite easily as you are playing on it. My boyfriends broke in less than a week. You cant access streaming services on the switch. The graphics are slightly blurry I would say, a little bit like the DS.

Bought for my wife for Animal Crossing. She loves the game, so thats a win. The portability is nice so that you can undock and play if the TV is in use, or take on the go. Then you can use the entire TV as you like.Best part was the Switch Online service. It included access to both vintage NES SNES games for free. All at a price of 20 per YEAR instead of 15 a month from Xbox online So that was another huge win.If there were any cons, Id say it would be the lack of 4K resolution in case any future game require it. And the restrictions on video streaming options. But then again, its a pure gaming system instead of a game console that tries to be an allinone multimedia solution. Otherwise the internal expandability for storage is a huge advantage over external drives, and its an all around great gaming system for any age.

I thought this limited edition console sold out immediately when it was first released. Then I saw a listing on Best Buys site and it was listed at MSRP. I jumped on that sucker pretty quick and picked it up a couple of days later at my local store. At a time when all consoles are hard to come by Im glad that I was able to get the one my wife wanted. The system itself is exactly what I expected, having owned several Switch consoles in the past. This console is the version 2 hardware with the longer battery life due to a less power hungry CPU.I love when Nintendo releases different color systems or limited edition systems. It makes it easier to tell which one belongs to each person in the family. Now if they would just release more pro controller color options

This is a really good gaming system the fact that there three different ways to play is amazing. The joy cons and really cool and I like that you can attach and detach them at will. My friend has one and he complains that his Joy Cons will drift and make it impossible to play a game using them. So far that hasnt happened for me. I have had this gaming system since August. The display on the gamepad is good and it is a glass display. I bought my Switch in a bundle and it came with some other accessories. Dont get me wrong this is a awesome gaming system there are just a couple of things I wish were better. I wish that there were more storage options like 32GB 64GB 512GB and 1TB. This would be really awesome of there was and would definitely be worth the extra cost. Another this is I wish that the Micro SD cards were not so expensive. Its like 500 or more to get a 1TB one. That more then I paid for the system I can get an 8TB hard drive for my Xbox for 200. Another thing is that the little kick stand on the back breaks off often is a pain to get back on and once it breaks off for the first time it breaks off every time I try and use it. I think that the Joy Cons should be more secure on the gamepad. I am pretty sure I could snap I off the gamepad with little effort. One thing that would be pretty cool is that if the gamepad display was 4K. One last thing is that the game controller could be easy snapped in half. Other than that the NINTENDO SWITCH IS AWESOME and you should totally get it. I saw rumors that there will be a new Switch in 2021 So if they release one that has fixed these minor issues I will totally get it.

10162020 I adore this game series, since its original on the gamecube. I was thrilled to finally get this and play the latest installment. Unfortunately, that was short lived. Woke up on my birthday to an error code from my docked switch, and after resetting, it would not boot past the nintendo switch logo. I reset it multiple times and drained the battery, but nothing worked. Its currently en route to a nintendo repair center.I have read about this happening to other people online. I had my switch for just over a week before it spontaneously broke. I was always careful with it and it never fell or was spilt on. From what I have seen, this was one of the first waves of long lasting restock since the pandemic began. And apparently, the repair center is experiencing a higher volume of repairs on top of pandemic related issues. I now think I probably just shouldve returned it to best buy instead of repairing it. I would have lost my data, but there is a chance I already have.TLDR in Animal Crossing New Horizons, back up your island data in game and record your switch serial number somewhere. Be wary of new systems fall 2020 and keep everything you need for the warranty or sending a system back.

Hes big on the Lego games and weve both loved Mario Kart on all platforms since their inception.I wanted to get a second switch though just for Mario Kart, so we can do local head to head racing like we used to on the Wii U.I liked the novelty of this switch, the colors in honor of Mario, and the red TV dock was a neat touch. The case it comes with was another bonus over the standard release item, and while I had a better case for our switch, this will do for my new red one.Best thing is the battery life has been extended over the old original switch. So theres more gaming available without having to stop to plug in.Since its the same price as the original, I have nothing to complain about. Great platform, fun colors, extra case, better battery. My system was Christmas Guaranteed and we are now days after Christmas and still no system. I thought maybe the storm we had affected it but then the two other items I purchased CAME ON TIME AND THEY WERENT EVEN GUARANTEED Im so disappointed because this year I did shopping for my children very differently because the twins are now 4 years old. This was the big Christmas gift. I just believe that if you cant follow through on something at least make it right with your customers. Things happen and I understand that. It is what it is. I am a faithful QVC shopper and for the most part they have always been amazing, in this case they were just less then stellar. Ill update my review at a later date.

These Nintendo Switches are really cool gaming consoles. I just wish Nintendo would come out with more exclusives that arent Mario. Im tired of Mario, but thats not the actual consoles fault. Now the JoyCons are crap, theyre too small cramp anyone who doesnt have child hands. Too bad for the prez I bought a red Hori Split Pad Pro FullSize JoyCon controller its much better. However, I found an even better alternative to the Hori FullSize JoyCon controllers. And thats a medium to fullsize JoyCon controller called Kydlan Programmable Controller on Amazon. And theyre only 28.99 a 5 off coupon. I got 20 clipped off mine because of Prime Day paid with tax only 25.10 with free shipping. I know this review seems more like a review for the Kydlan Programmable JoyCon controllers, but thats just because of how much of a game changer they are for handheld mode. The Horis are a bit too big so it doesnt dock onto the Switch tablet perfectly. They stick out above the screen. Anyone whos gotten one knows what Im talkin about. But the Kydlans fit perfectly flush as if it was made with the Switch. They both are light because they dont have batteries, motion or rumble builtin. But the Kydlans feel slightly heavier solid which I like the triggers are much better as well. I dont like the JoyCon triggers the Hori are the same but bigger, but the Kydlans look feel more like the PlayStations DualShock4 triggers. Which I also prefer. The pictures Ive included will show you the differences between them. The Hori Split Pad Pro FullSize JoyCon controllers make handheld mode much better as youve probably seen on YouTube. But the Kydlan Programmable JoyCon controllers make it perfect. Even the analog thumbsticks are slightly smaller than the Hori, but much bigger than the original JoyCons. Thanks everyone this is my review so Im sorry for it being super long. Goodbye fellow gamers.P. S. I cant wait for the next gen PS5 Xbox Series X consoles. Got my preorders already.

The system itself is fine. But the other ay Nintendo packaged and advertised this was incredibly misleading. Its just animal crossing themed NO game included. The details of that are very tiny and basically impossible to see. I feel like that should have been labeled larger and I feel like Nintendo knows this is misleading when the Mario Kart themed console DOES include the game. My friends who are very into Nintendo and all other gaming systems were mislead by this as well. Everyone assumed it came with the game and that you were getting something additional out of this. Otherwise youre just paying the same price for a plain system which I would have rather had if Id known. For resell and aging childrenadults I wouldnt have gotten it themed. But I already bought it. Waited til Christmas to gift and now its too late. Plus when I realized finally it was open and plain systems were now sold out.

I was hesitant for a year until I bit the bullet. For years, Ive always been about Xbox and 4K resolution and having something top of the line. One day I was talking to my intern at work and I bit the bullet on the switch not expecting much. It only had 1080p max graphics after all.I gotta say, I was shocked. I have found myself picking this up in either handheld, or docking this most of my days off. Its nostalgic to play some old games like Mario and Zelda, and the portability is the real sell for it. You can literally stop what you are doing in a game, and pick it up anywhere, either on handheld or TV.Due to the game design, you really dont notice the graphics arent 4K, and most TVs upscale these days. Aside from games that are available across multiple platforms, most graphics are stunning, especially in Breath of The Wild. After buying one, I tell everyone else to get one now.

This is my review of the V2 2019 version of the Nintendo Switch model HAC00101. So a little background, I was a enthusiastic PC gamer in college who built my own PCs for the purpose and am now due to the demands of adulthood someone who only plays the occasional game. My last handheld Nintendo console was the black and white Game Boy Pocket in the early 90s, so Ive been away from the platform a while. I bought the Switch purely because I learned they had ported Skyrim to it, and as a huge fan of the Elder Scrolls genre I was hoping to devote some of my train commute to questing around Tamriel. In this sense, the Switch does not disappoint. I am not a graphics connoisseur, but compared to the PC version Skryim plays really well on the Switch. No perceptible lag, colors are crisp. Yes, its missing the expansions and yes, the text can be a little small, but thats a fair tradeoff for the portability this platform brings. So far, I only own 2 games Skyrim and MarioKart 8 another throwback to my college dorm days on the N64, and I love playing both on the Switch, MaroKart is obviously the newer game and so the graphics and gameplay are much better but Im a still a sucker for Skyrim at least until the next ES is released, hopefully in my lifetime. Anyway, all this to say the Nintendo Switch is a great console for busy adults who want to reminisce about the fun they had 10, 20, or even 30 years ago. The Switch doesnt take itself too seriously which I love but that means it might not be the right choice for people concerned with the perfect graphic or gameplay experience there are dedicated consoles that do this much better. What the Switch does is make gaming on the go effortless, fun for the average busy person and something you can really enjoy with your whole family which I think was Nintendos real goal here all along.

Look at this Switch, it is a thing of beauty. It makes you want to jump and scream WAHHOOThe Nintendo Switch console doesnt need any further explanation, so Ill focus on the specific appeal of this Super Mario edition its a collectors items for Nintendo fans. The distinctive red colour invokes not only Marios theme but also Nintendos. It looks good in handheld mode, but slot in those joycons into the blue holders and, oh man, thats Mario in your hands right there The only colour missing is the yellow of Marios buttons, but thats addressed by the stylish carry case.To be absolutely clear the Super Mario version is functionally the same as a normal Nintendo Switch. If youre just looking for a great console to play amazing games on, ANY Nintendo Switch is a good choiceThe Super Mario Switch just has a fancy coat of paint, thats all… but to someone who grew up playing Nintendo games, that shade of red brings a level of joy thats well worth the effort of collecting these hardtofind editions.

Initial setup is painful so many accounts and passwords that you have to enter over and over to get your first game installed from the estore. We bought a game with the machine direct from Nintendo why not preinstall this software onto the machine for your customer prior to shipping google do this with their phones, as I understand it its an automated process. Thatd make the whole experience much slicker. If youre like me and insist on secure passwords then its a lot of typing when all you want to do is get playing some games why is there 1 account for the console where you have to link accounts together Maybe its legacy support or something but to be honest it just comes across as poor system design. After that initial frustration things have mostly been great. The only other issue was my wife had trouble understanding how to use the controllers choosing whether the joycon is split or not confuses her. Making that simpler to understand would be good.

Bottom Line the Nintendo Switch offers tons of fun… if you can get your hands on one.Pros tons of great first and third party games, versatile play modes handheld, tabletop, TV and overall just a fun gaming systemCons hardware not as powerful as other consoles in the generation, currently hard to findReview Since weve been home due to the pandemic, Ive been looking to game with my five year old. Unfortunately, there arent many games Ive found on the other consoles that are accessible enough for her to play. So, after months of trying to get a Switch, I lucked out during a Best Buy restock and ordered one.So far, the Switch hasnt disappointed. My daughter and I have been playing Mario Kart, and the single Joycon makes a great controller for her small hands. The auto accelerate easy mode also means shes just in charge of steering, and its been a ton of fun playing.I also picked up Links Awakening to play by myself. The game is a fantastic remake of the classic GameBoy original, although I do notice the hardware struggles sometimes to keep up with some of the action onscreen.

Familiar with both handheld and home console gaming alike on various systems, NES, Gameboy, 64, Gamecube, DS, Wii, and 3DS, the Nintendo Switch was an exciting purchase for me because of its hybrid functionality. When it comes to the Nintendo Switch, the developers at Nintendo did not disappoint. Their team designed a sleek console and created an exceptional hybrid gaming experience with solid titles like Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, and others. Whether you are playing in the comfort of your living room on your TV, on a road trip, with a group of friends, or alone curled up in bed, the Switchs hybrid functionality makes it Nintendos most innovative and flexible console to date, and it provides hours of entertainment for really any age. Regardless of how I choose to play a game, the design and flexibility of the Switchs JoyCons makes switching from different controller modes fun, and a super easy and intuitive experience. Pros EXCELLENT design of console and controllers Console itself is very durable, docking it is straightforward and easy Easy to switch from handheld, to JoyCons, to controller, etc. satisfying, almost fun click sound when the controllers are attached in place, a sleek and intuitive experience. Option of neon redblue vs gray JoyCons there are other color options as well, sold separately, or are available depending on what bundle you buy Graphics are excellent Great sound Both physical game cartridges and digital download options are available Good storage space Great game library Super Mario Odyssey, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Splatoon 2, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Yoshis Crafted World, Super Mario Maker 2, Fortnite, etc. Excellent overall user experience Cons No backwards compatibility for older games on Wii or Wii U Battery life could be a little better. For example, its good for about 2.53 hours when playing Super Mario Odyssey in handheld mode. Overall, for the Nintendo Switch, I would say the positives far outweigh the negatives. In a nutshell, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this console Theres a great library of games on this system which all provide literally hours of fun for friends and family of really any age.Less

I have literally had more fun playing with this Nintendo Switch than I ever imagined I would. The convenience of being able to sit on your couch and play in handheld mode but then dropping the device into the docking station to play on the television is incredible. There is no interruption in game play when doing this. Nintendos user experience is quite exceptional. Each one of my kids have a Switch as well. We can all play together from our own devices which is a lot of fun.I have had to use the Nintendo warranty to get the JoyCons serviced and that experience was very easy as well. The customer support is exceptional

The switch is still not up to par with its main competitors PlayStation and Xbox when it comes to certain areas like online play and Im on my 3rd generation of nba2k for Nintendo switch and still not getting the full experience as many features do not work like they are supposed to but it has gotten much better. I expected problems like this as this as its a new system that has yet to be perfected. Nintendo recently released the new model switch with longer battery life along side the switch light portable only version so hopefully they fixed some other issues as well. The joycon controllers break very easily and are very expensive to replace. My advice to anyone buying this system is to USE THE MANUFACTURER WARRANTY It lasts 1 year from time of purchase when you buy the system and anything thats not your fault Nintendo will fix for free. I have heard many reports that Nintendo will fix your joycon controllers for free as well if you contact them and complain. In many cases even after the 3 month manufacturers warranty expires on the games and controllers bought separately from the console. However I have heard people complain that the joycons were not covered by the extended warranty that they paid extra for so I would recommend going to the manufacturer first if you have any issues even if you purchased an extended warranty from Target or any other store.

So my old Switch was having issues and crashing on me several times when playing any games which then would cause a corrupt save data. Especially for Animal Crossing. My previous Switch was a 001 model not the new 00101. So I saved up some money to get a new Switch and this was the only versuon od the Switch that was available. To my husbands chagrin I went and bought it. I can now stream and video record Switch games again without it crashing in me. The design is cute and I live the pastel bule and green colors. Im just extremely hapoy to be able to oly Animal Crossing without the console crashing in me again.

The Nintendo Switch is hands down the best console Ive ever owned. And it all comes down to one simple, yet profoundly unique aspect. Portability. The ability to take home console games on the go to play anywhere I want in handheld mode is worth more to me than the graphical prowess of the PS4PS5 or Xbox OneSeries consoles. The second reason why I love the Switch, portability notwithstanding, is the massive library of games. And while I cant count how many times I hear but theyre all just ports, my first answer is No. Theyre not. And my second answer is Ports are awesome. Bring everything to Switch. I mean, seriously, the amount of quality games one has to choose from for this console, in addition to the ability to play anywhere, is just insane. Xenoblade Chronicles 1 2, Monster Hunter Rise, Persona 5 Strikers, Skyrim, Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Dragon Quest XI S, Divinity Original Sin II, Bravely Default II, Pokmon Sword Shield, etc etc etc.In terms of this specific model, its fantastic and Ive had no issues whatsoever and Ive been playing it for over a year or so now pretty regularly. Ive noticed a big difference in the longer lasting battery life of this model versus the original launch model. Otherwise, thats about all Ive noticed as being a difference between the two. But hey, thats fine by me as I primarily play handheld like 95 of the time.If you dont care about the upcoming, inevitable Switch Pro model that will be likely to launch around Q4 2021 or sometime 2022, then I cant recommend this model enough. Its an amazing hybrid console and the hours youll get out of it will not only be massive in terms of quantity, but also in terms of quality due to the amazing and evergrowing library of games.Do it.

I love the Nintendo game systems. The Nintendo Switch is a great build on what they were trying to do with the Nintendo Wii U. I like that it is both mobile and connects to the TV. I do not understand te people who pay 100 less for the Switch Lite when you cannot use other external controllers for multiplayer and you do not have the option to connect to the TV ifwhen wanted. It is definitely worth the 100 more to get the bigger console.I wish they had made it compatible with the Wii U remotes though. That would have been a nice option for extra controllers when needed. I dont really want to pay 70 dollars for extra controllers that wont be used much and I liked the Wii U controllers.

Pros1. The battery backup is awesome, I am getting around 6 hours of playtime with The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, as has been advertised for version 2.2. Very superior portability, playing while sleeping in your bed is a luxury I did not expect, can also carry to friends place and the joy con controllers are sufficient for 2 players.3. Very easy to connect to your tv or monitor, though I have been taking advantage of the big screen in the handheld mode.4. Motion controls are super responsive and works as intended and advertised.Cons1. No support for bluetooth headphones, you either need a bluetooth adapter purchased separately, or use your wired headphones, major downside for something which is designed to be portable.2. The games are kind of expensive, but you would find sufficient free titles in different genres. Also, a lot of games have free demos that you can download and try before purchasing.3. Some people might have a problem with the storage, but memory cards solve that easily additional purchase.

I purchased the regular Neon newer version better battery life version for my son for Christmas in 2019. Even though, I am an avid Nintendo fan I own every single model of Gameboy except 2 every console up to the Wii, I didnt seem interested in the Switch console as I was in previous Nintendo consoles… Until the Special Edition Animal Crossing Console went on sale. The look of this console and the fact that I love playing my sons Switch when he lets me, LOL, definitely gained my interest. Im so glad I purchased this version, because for the same price, I got a unique console. The back of the console has etched images of the Animal Crossing world, the docking station is an off white color with an Animal Crossing picture, and of course the joycons are unique colors not firstparty sold separately all of these things combined means there is absolutely no excuse my son could give for getting our consoles switched.Ive wanted this console since its release, but like many others I waited too late and it sold out quickly. On Monday evening, September 28, I was eliminating email and saw an email from Best Buy that had trending itemsa history of items Id viewed on their website and there was this Switch. I click on the picture and the item was listed as being in stock. I didnt really believe it and I went to bed. When I woke on Tuesday, September 29, I checked again thinking inventory updated overnight and surely this Switch or any of them for that matter, wouldnt be listed as in stock and the console was still in stock available at a Best Buy 30 minutes from my job. So, around 820 AM I purchased the item for pickup, laughing to myself and thinking, Ill get an email stating theres been a mistake and that the item was out of stock. Meanwhile the website still had the option for the item to be shipped if thats what I wanted. Well, imagine my surprise when I received the notificationemail that the item I had purchased was available for pickup at 929 AM Meanwhile, after checking the website for availability again, the item was only showing as being available at a store 90 miles from my house and not in stock for shipping AT ALL. As I drive to the store, Im thinking there is no way I just purchased the last Animal Crossing Switch in the MetroAtlanta area, NO. WAY. I live in an SE suburb. Again, I expected to be given the sorry we made an error as soon as I get to the store, but of course, the item was given to me as stated, as you could imagine my surprise. Why the long story Time is of the essence friends, seriously. I feel I was extremely blessed to have purchased this. In the span of about 1 hour of my purchasing, this console sold out. So, if you see one, or any Switch online for the regular price of 299 I would purchase it. Even if a new model of the Switch is released no worries from my internet research there isnt going to be one this year, this model is definitely a keeper with its large library of games. Case in point, I can still buy games for very old models of Gameboys at extremely cheap prices. This console is back in stock. If you are thinking about purchasing this do it now. Dont wait.

Our son accidentally broke the screen on his original Switch by dropping the charging block on it. About the time this happened COVID hit and shut everything down. We told him we would buy him a new one for his birthday in April. Well about a week or two before his birthday I went to buy it and found out there were no more bc of restrictions on importing. Needless to say he was upset. Fast forward 5 months later and I just happened to be browsing like I had every week since April and there was a Switch available on my Best Buy App I immediately scooped it up for him as a late birthday surprise. After purchasing, I went right back in the App to see if there were more for sale for my nephew and they were already sold out again. He was so happy and excited when he opened up the box 3 days later. The Switch is an awesome system and would highly suggest it. Thanks Best Buy for being awesome, I truly love shopping here

I am Super Happy with my purchase. Mario Kart is great family fun my girls age 13 14 enjoy getting beat by me, lol. Thats ok because they totally own me at Super Smash Brothers. The Joy Con are nice and have great battery life. The system when undocked gets well over 78 hours of use before needing a charge. The Switch can be easily docked to a TV or Monitor. I also play Zelda BOTW which is truly amazing and a must buy. I highly recommend getting the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller or you can save money on the Prismatic by PDP which can be as low 24.99 wired or 45 for wireless. Nintendo really has some of the best games when it comes to quality lack of bugs etc I have been frustrated with many of my anticipated games on PC or PS4 being broke from launch and many never recover ANTHEM ahem… Any EA Title. . .

Best handheld console ever, great graphics, great battery life and most importantly great gameplay experience and it gets pretty loud too. I love the fact that it uses USB Type C to charge so if you have a phone or tablet that uses that USB cable, youll be able to use that same cord to charge the console and you can even pair this with one of Samsungs 45W Fast charge brick to charge this thing up super quick. The console comes with 32GB of internal memory which is not enough at all if you want to build up your digital library of games. All of my games are digital except for maybe 2 but I got a 128GB micro sd card since The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild was such a huge game. The docking experience is great especially if you have a attractive looking Tv so youll be able to have Pokemon battles and see your favorite Pokmon in full HD on the big screen.

The system itself is amazing the graphics are bright crisp clear and the games are reasonably priced. It can take a good tumble without cracking and so far we havent had any games cross or anything like that. Also I love that I can hook it up to the TV so we can watch YouTube videos on our large flat screen as a family versus everyone trying to huddle around the phone or tablet to watch. Now for my issues with this type of instant connection with millions of people worldwide at the touch of a button. The switch is different from a computer in regards to the fact that you cant set parental controls in the same way. So this review is about the social aspect of this system and not the technical components.

Albeit, the games are good, and the family enjoys the use of it, as a parent I have HUGE ISSUES with the productAlthough this is a cross portableconsole gaming system, Nintendo fails to add basic theft deterrent measuresExample1 There is no way to add a PIN to prevent unauthorized users from using your device. All other game systems do Xbox, PlayStation, Android and even the draconian Apple devices.2 This device requires internet connection to configure it, and requires a internet connection from time to time for updates and other internal functions, yet, there is NO WAY FOR USERS TO TRACK THEIR DEVICE WHEN ITS LOSTSo if your device is lost or stolen, too bad for you usBesides that, there are other outrageous inconsistencies with the gaming standards1 You may ONLY OWN 1 SWITCH. Once you link it to your Nintendo account, that is itSo if you have a family with 23 kids, you cannot buy a digital games once and family share, however all the other gaming platforms allow thisie Xbox, PlayStation, Google Play and even the draconian Apple. Also, Nintendo products consoles and games are almost never on sale. Although that is not a defect or bug, its just a bad company practice and makes this system less appealing to parents who dont want or need to spend a small fortune with games.I rather buy and have done so 3 XBoxs and everyone is playing together just fine. That, and the limited amount of crossplatform games Nintendo has to offer only Fortnite Minecraft makes the Nintendo Switch a poor value for purchase and enjoyment.I recommend everyone NOT to buy Nintendo Switchs until their management fixes and addresses all of these issues.

The nintendo switch is a good value for a mobile and docked gaming. Fun to play games and has more family friendly games. You will notice some of the games dumbed down compare to what is available on other consoles. Huge downside of the switch is the controller. It is a cool feature to be able to split the controller and use it as 2, it also just feels too small in a adult hand. The controllers also have notorious issues with stick drift and L3R3 buttons breaking. Although fixable, controllers are not cheap.Still a good console with great portability and a wide variety of games can keep you entertained for hours. I give this device a 4 out of 5.

I have always hated playing any type of games whether its from a gaming consul to a cellphone. Ive been eyeing this special edition since it came out but I have always hesitated to buy it for the fact that I hate playing games. When it went back in stock this year, I finally took the plunge and bought it without any expectations. I fell in love the moment I saw the colors of the joycon when I unboxed it. Its very pretty and pleasing to my eyes that hates anything colorful.I got addicted playing my switch, I can play for hours on end without noticing the time. This switch only cost 299 but because I love it so much, I spent more than 800 on accessories and GAMES and its well worth my money. just not some games but I watch YouTube reviews before I buy the games.

Back in November I originally ordered the markedup Nintendo Switch from a Walmart scalper for the price of 450 out of desperation I did not want to wait closer to Christmas and have them totally sold out or selling for like 600 . I was able to purchase this Switch for the regular price and pick it up at a Walmart nine minutes from my house. The packaging is brand new and everything is in perfect condition. This will be my eight year old daughters main Christmas gift as this was the only thing she wanted for over a year now. I also got her the two games she has been hinting at, Minecraft and Animal Crossing. Will be returning the marked up price of the switch back to the scalper. I cant wait until Christmas to see her face light up because shes not expecting a Nintendo Switch she thinks she is getting only clothessocks for Christmas and is content with that.

I got this for my girlfriend and I to play some fun games together as we do on our old original Wii. Recently I picked her up a copy of Animal Crossing and shes been hooked. She is not the type to sit down and play video games for than 15 minutes at a time but but she loves that game along with how she can play on the TV or take it to them room.I like the Switch just due to how well it was thought out and built. The only negative I can think of really is the Nintendo Store. Really just the price of Nintendo Switch games in general. Ps4 and Xbox games go down in price usually writhing the fist 3 months of releasing. A year later you might find a 5 star game with hundreds of hours of gameplay for 18 bucks. The price of games for the switch do not really budge over time. If you are like me and think that you will just pick it up next year, that game will still be full priced then too. I dont see that changing until a new Nintendo console is released, so if you want to play Mario cart from 2017 and dont want to meet a stranger on Craigslist, get ready to shell out 50 bucks. Other than that, I love the Switch and its more than worth the money.

Its so great to have this item back in stock. Great for any hardcore fan of the Animal Crossing series. The exclusive teal and torquoise controllers and the Nook island dock really make this a special edition item while we all wait for a Samus Metroid Prime 4 Special Edition. I had the grey controller edition for months during the pandemic and was sad about the product unavailability, but I bought this anyway as a gift. If you dont have a Switch yet and love Animal Crossing, this is a must have. If you already own a Switch, maybe you want to thinking twice about owning a second. You can always take the Special Edition dock and controllers use the actual Screenhardward part from your existing Switch with all of its game saves and your Animal Crossing island. The screenhardware is the same. Then sellgive your bluered or grey controller and dock with Switch to a gamer in need.

Nintendo games are some of the most wholesome experiences out and fun for the whole family. With the Nintendo Switch, Nintendo has outdone themselves by making a portable console you can plug into your tv making it a home console and giving you the best of both worlds. Here are some of my pros and consProsPortableIf you take any kind of public transportation having one of these is great since you can game on the way to workGreat battery life This is a new enhanced model with the red box that gives much better battery lifer than the older one. I already had a switch lite and liked the form factor, weight, etc… I purchased this one because I wanted to have something I could connect to the TV. I dont particularly care for the feel of the joycons in the included holder. As a handheld device, its a bit less comfortable to hold than the lite. I will probably get a pro controller to use with it, but for now, the lite is still my primary Nintendo gaming device. Guess the regular one will take a little getting used to….Also, there is a little movement of the joycons when using it in handheld mode. I prefer the stability of the lite as a handheld as well.

I love this product, Nintendo Switch. It is the greatest gift for a family member, or friend. They have fun games to buy to go with it, and there are so many games so you will never run out. It is a great family fun activity, and to play by yourself. It has plenty of remote so everyone can play. It is easy to set up and learn. I learned in the first fifteen minutes how to play and control each game. I love being able to bring it on vacations. I bring it in the car and play for hours until I hit my destination. It is awesome how it does not need service so I can play anywhere. It is easy to store and barely takes us any space. It has a very long battery so I dont ever have to worry about it dying on me. I can connect it with another Nintendo switch so I can play with my friends and cousins. That is why I give it a five star rating

And I am so happy that I did Ive really enjoyed playing Mario Kart, Breath of the Wild, and other Mario games I wouldnt consider myself a nintendo fan boy or mario aficionado, but I have had a blast playing these games The switch doesnt have as much power as other systems, but its a great little device and the games still look and run very nice I personally havent used it much in handheld mode. i had the original 2017 switch and was not pleased with the battery life on handheld mode. the revision is much better and hasnt gotten anywhere as warm or hot as the original. ive had this for a couple of months now, and it looks amazing, i love the colors and designs all over the system. this is my main and only switch now, and i am very happy with it. im incredibly thankful to the lady at the store who did her best to find the only available unit somewhere when we visited on release day.although it looks great, the switchs dock is still kind of awkward and clunky like all other docks. im also worried about how long these joycon will last before needing to be repaired. drift is a serious problem and all of my friends have this issue, and my first set of joycon for the original switch had some dead spots on the left joystick after a few months of use. im just doing my best to take good care of these

Ive owned this for almost a month now and I love it. The design is great and the fact that I can use each joycon as separate controllers if I want to play with my family is great. The switch also has a great library of games. Games like Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Animal Crossing New Horizons, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate are great games to pick up. However, there are problems with this system. While I havent experienced this myself yet, there have been many cases where the thumbsticks drift. The dock isnt the best quality too as it has the possibility of scratching the screen when you put the switch into the dock, however, buying a glass screen protector will solve this problem. Another issue outside of the console itself is the price of everything. Most, if not all firstparty games will cost 60 so I recommend you purchase games in moderation. Overall, the switch is a great system to pick up and tons of fun with these few blemishes that can take out some of the fun.

Now, everyone knows Nintendo. Well, I absolutely love the Nintendo switch. You can play on your tv, or you can play handheld which really comes in handy. I love to bring my switch with me when I take a relaxing bubble bath to play a few of my favourite games without my kids watching over me. For example, Animal Crossing Stardew Valley. The Nintendo switch runs amazing, has a long lasting battery and is light weight. The only downfall, I wish it had more memory. It doesnt hold many games unfortunately. You can also buy many different attachments. Different coloured joy con remotes, a wireless pro controller, cases, covers. Etc. Its fantastic and definitely worth the price.

I love my switch. This system is awesome. I can play on the TV, if I cant use the TV any longer I just pull it out and keep playing without interruption. If someone else needs the TV or I need to go somewhere, no problem it works great as a handheld. Only issue i have is with online multiplayer. Even some games ment for it have bad multiplayer like Smash Bros for example. You would think that online multiplayer would play normal multiplayer but there is no tournament or Computer player, only one on one. Other games have similar issues. If you want to play multiplayer in person though or strictly solo it works great. I definitely recommend.

We bought two of these in Neon and the colours are much more vibrant and impressive in person the pictures dont do them justice Debated a long time to buy these but they seem to drop in and oit of stock very frequently so we bought them while we can, before the Christmas rush. John Lewis offer a free 2 year guarantee not offered by some other retailers and the 15 accidental damage cover seemed worth it as these will go to a 5 and 9 year old.The whole docking thing to play on your TV is just so efficient and, to be honest fun The joycons are very easy to hold and use and feel comfortable, though Im told they break easily hence the damage cover. I love the range of games available and look forward to the hours and hours of fun to come Excellent console and great for kids as they are handheld.

For starters I was able to find a Nintendo Switch with dock station at a local Walmart store which is not easy these days. I find the Nintendo Switch with docking station the better choice compare to the Lite version. For starters when Nintendo Switch is in the dock station it will output 1080p video to the TV which is nice. Which at that point you can mount the joycons on the grip then use it as a controller. The Nintendo Switch can use standard microSD cards which you can buy from anywhere. You dont need to buy those expensive Nintendo Switch branded microSD cards. Plus the fact is the battery will last a little longer compare to the Lite version of the Switch.Right now Im playing the free games they have in the Nintendo Switch store. Looking to start buying physical games in a week or two.

OMG.This is such a cute look. A great special edition, I had both the Mario Kart and the Fornite Special edition in my cart, and I didnt want to purchase them because I was waiting for this one to be restocked. Best wait in my life ever.Everyone who owns this special edition is happy and satisfied. Its the exact same Switch in terms of functionality, and the upgraded version 2.0 so you wont miss on anything that its current and available. So just get this for the look, if you like Animal Crossing, then you must get it. If you just like the look, then you should also get it. You will not regret. Its not about the deals or freebies, read all other comments, people are just happy with this special edition.Theres something about it, that makes it extra cute and awesome. If you dont care, then

I had the super smash bros edition switch and when I saw this animal crossing version I decided to get it for my wife. The animal crossing edition is alot better than the super smash bros edition. The dock is bright and colorful. The back of the switch has a design, whereas the super smash bros version is plain. The joy cons are a great pastel green and blue. The buttons feel less clicky than previous joy cons but there might actually not be a difference at all. It has the updated battery that lasts a lite longer than previous switches which is nice. It doesnt include the game which is a bummer but not a problem since its the same price as the regular switch and you can buy it separately. My wife has been really enjoying her switch and any animal crossing fan will love playing it on this switch

The console itself is definitely unique and has made a wave in game consoles that we really havent seen in awhile. The ability to SWITCH from handheld to stationary mode is really fun and offers something we have never seen before. The switch offers a great line up of games and a lot of those games have been around since the 90s but Nintendo still finds a way to make the new and fun again and again. The reason that its four stars instead of 5 is mainly because of two reasons1 The joy on drift that occurs relatively quickly on it. It makes playing game unplayable and annoying. The only solution is to get a new controller or joy on. I dont dock more points because this is something that happens across all consoles and it really is silly at this point in time to have this be such a big issue for controllers. Just put a better quality product in the sticks and I feel like that would fix the solution.2 Not a huge deduction in points here is that the resolution isnt up to modern games. 4K gaming and 120 FPS is the wave forward. However, this doesnt make the game nor does it make it fun to play, just smoother. It is just a quality of life improvement that I would like to see down the road. But if you want 4K I would get a computer, you get it for the games.

Some backstory Im a grown woman. As a kid we had an N64 and an original PlayStation. I transitioned to PC gaming in my teens and never looked back to consoles. As an adult I have never had a Wii, Xbox, or newergeneration Playstation.I, like many others, was looking for something to do in my spare time during the COVID pandemic besides watching movies and television. I bought this console in September 2019. I dont have any existing ties to a console all the controllers are greek to me and would need to be learned or game franchise.Pros The flexibility of this console impresses me even months later. I love being able to grab the unit from the dock and walk around the house with my Pokemon Sword game uninterrupted when someone else wants to use the TV. I love being able to take my unit to a friends house and dock there. I love being able to use the joycons separately, together in a grip, or use pro style controllers. Its obviously a huge selling point and it hasnt disappointed. Looking forward to travelling with it someday. Great mix of major, indie, and free titles. We have played some of the major games Pokemon and freemium stuff Rocket League, Asphalt 9 but gravitate toward strategypuzzle games like Overcooked 2, Moving Out, Untitled Goose Game, and Donut County. Maybe a similar mix is available on other platforms, Im just pleasantly surprised at the variety compared to my childhood N64 and PS1 collections. We still have lots of popular games like Zelda or Super Mario to check out in the future.Cons The graphics arent amazing compared to top of the line Xbox or PS consoles. Certain games have considerable laglatency during gameplay. Felt like a decent number of accessories were basically required at the getgo. Have purchased a screen protector, third party controller, hard case for travelling, grips for the individual joycons, and an SD card. Of course no games come included so the price of games is added on to that. Almost everyone I know whos had the console for at least a year complains about the joycons breaking or drifting. I expect well need to replace ours at some point in the next year.

As everyone may know, its become extremely difficult to get your hands on a Nintendo Switch. Fortunately for me I kept checking Best Buy and I got lucky. I received the system less than a week after placing the order, that seemed very fast to me. All the contents came in perfect condition, no damage whatsoever. Now on to the console, probably the most unique, one of a kind and innovative game system on the market. This one is the Animal Crossing edition, so theres artwork on the front of the dock of the system, as well as the back panel of the handheld part of the system. It also is in a completely different color scheme than the past models were originally released in. The joy con controllers for this edition are sporting pastel blue and green tones giving it a very nice, subtle cool look, reminds me of Easter. The Nintendo Switch is a must have in my opinion, theres nothing out there like it when it comes to gaming systems. The portability aspect of this system and versatility to make use of the controllers makes the Nintendo Switch stand out as a tier one system. Theres a wide variety of free and paid for games to choose from on the Nintendo eshop. You cant go wrong with buying one. Thanks to Best Buy for having the system in stock at the time I checked, the exemplary service from placing the order to receiving the order in such a short amount of time. Best Buy is the goto for all my electronics, whether it be devices, accessories or assistance, theyre the best in the business, check them out

Before my true review I arrived to Best Buy the day of release and was lucky enough to get the last of 4 nonpreorder consoles available. So first off, thanks Best Buy for having that option available, though not many were there. Im sorry for those who now only have the option of paying 500 to get this edition. Now the review I hope Nintendo continues to produce more special edition designs and colors because I love this. I did not own a Switch before, the ACNH game is the only reason I bought one, but I love the cloud storage, the battery life, and of course the color design. The etching on the back is the cutest and seeing Tom and his nephews on the dock is, honestly, quite heartwarming. I also love that playing New Horizons with this special edition Switch will unlock a free ACNH Switch in game, a nice touch. I do wish the joy consthe controller dock were a little bigger, but I also kinda have big hands for a lady The switch itself has a large game library and I love the indie game options available, plus those sweet sweet sales and gold points Its awesome to be able to switch between handheld and on tv, too.Overall I love it I love this special edition and I love the console itself. My husband and I are already very excited to save up and get him a gray one so we can play together.

It all started at the end of 2012. Nintendo promised to release the highly anticipated Zelda game with one of the largest and ambitious worlds. I bought a Wii U awaiting the Zelda game. The only game I purchased was Mike Tyson Punch Out… I continued to wait and no Zelda game. 2013, 2014, 2015, nothing. I gave up on Nintendo and sold my Wii U on eBay with all original parts and with box in immaculate condition. Then out of the blue to me the Nintendo Switch was released March 7, 2017 and guess what longly anticipated game was released as a release title Yup, The Legend of Zelda Breath of The Wild. Argh, as my inner pirate bemoaned.I waited to even consider purchasing one because of my previous disappointment with Nintendo. My anger subsided or was all but forgotten during this pandemic. There are more serious things to concern myself with. I decided that if it wasnt sold out and I profited from my stock investments that I would buy a Switch and Zelda. Well, the coincidence of events lined up perfectly and I bought one. So glad I did. I have all game consoles and dont play any of them. Even with The Last of Us 2…not that it isnt excellent. Not the argument but Nintendo and Zelda and I have a past that was long worth the wait.

Please read on if you are a parent considering buying a switch for your child or have a child who currently has one, or if you are a teenager over 16 who has experience playing with one of these and can give parents advice on how to keep their kids safe. All right so this review is obviously coming from a mom, but Im speaking by proxy for many other parents who I spoke with out there who have the same opinion as me on this issue and that is Do not buy for your children if they are under 16. Im sure lots of kids out they are going to see this and dislike it and thats fine, but this game system allows your children to connect with strangers all over the globe and not all strangers are actually 10yearold kids playing for the safety of their own homes. Some strangers are adults posing as children summer adults trying to get your children to talk to them regardless and some of them are criminals trying to get your kids to give them your credit card number. Unless your child is old enough to fully understand the consequences of talking to people online and I mean really truly deeply psychologically understand the ramifications of speaking to someone and giving them any personal information, dont buy this for your child. I had no idea that my child is talking to anyone other than a couple of friends from school who I thought he was playing Fortnite with I found out that he was playing with huge teams of people and had opened a Gmail account so that he could talk with his friends. I was blown away at the things that kids could do with a switch. My son is 10 and was not old enough to understand that not everyone out there has your best interest at heart. Just be vigilant parents protect your kids and help your kids to know the difference between a friend who they have seen met and talked with and a stranger. No matter how approachable nice and understanding that stranger may be there still a stranger and the rules should still fly. if youre a parent and you have similar concerns would you please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on this and how you monitor your childs activity on it if you do. If you are someone who is a teenager who plays on it and have advice for us adults on how to keep our younger children safe would you please let us know. This is all new for my generation. We had game boys and you couldnt talk to each other on them. We knew if a stranger came up to you and offered you candy, money, or just try to grab you and throw you in a windowless van that you were to run scream yell and go get an adult of authority such as a teacher police officer fireman etc. etc. these days strangers arent so obvious and as a parent Im not sure what to do other than to keep my child from engagement in these activities altogether. So Im asking you out there Who have grown up with these devices not just the switch but things like Xbox live, MMO games, World of Warcraft, things like that, to help us to be fair and reasonable while also keeping kids safe from predators.

I love the Nintendo Switch but the new version w the extended battery has a slightly cheaper screen. It has this weird effect where I can see the horizontal lines of pixels, almost like its interlaced. Its a problem that very few people notice, but if you have good vision close up, it is noticeable. I bought five Switches trying to find one that didnt have this weird effect. I wish I would have kept my old launch Switch now because I never play the Switch anymore because of this screen.90 of people dont notice what I am talking about, so buy this amazing console wo fear. But beware those of us nerds who are extremely detail oriented.

Heres the honest opinion of guy, not a kid, that looks for quality. I make this review as an actual review, not to discourage people from buying it. It is a great little device. So if youre like me and played other consoles, the smaller controllers are noticable and a little awkward. Also the device is very fragile when the controllers are docked. Mostly just plastic supports the controllers, so any sheer force could break them along with the screen. Other than its flimsy exterior, its a great device for those that want to continue their game on the go. I am very happy that I didnt get a switch lite, because the TV reduces my eyes strain a lot when I can. Other than that, its a little glitchy with the shop classic nintendo feel due to it being an actual loaded website. Overall, if youre careful and dont drop it, this little console should last you a while. If youre not careful, might I suggest the switch lite and a plastic protector case that can take more of a beating. Cheers

This is my favorite consolehandheld to date. I love the idea of having a system that is a console or handheld. I prefer handhelds and my husband prefers consoles, but we can still play together. Another genius move was to allow multiplayer using each joycon as 1 controller. Nintendo loves innovation but this one is my favorite. I love how light and natural the joycons feel. I love how simple you can go from playing a handheld to playing a console by docking it and removing the controllers. I love this system so much, BUT there are some flaws. I am disappointed with the small amount of space you have on the console meaning you will have to switch SD cards. I think the SD slot is in a weird spot and could be bumped if you have the handhelds kickstand open. These are smaller gripes but the most frustrating thing the thing that brings the score down to 45 is the joyscons. The joycons on the original release malfunctioned and would cause the joystick to just go in one direction without any input. So I bought a new set while mine were being repaired because it took weeks to get them back. My husband got a switch and his malfunctioned where the A button wouldnt register. So I bought him a new set until his were repaired. Brand new joycons lasted 2 days before the joystick would strafe. I was furious. So to recap, great consolehandheld but the joycon malfunction issue is ridiculous.

After playing a Switch Lite, I was happy to grab one of these beauties during the restock. The fullsize switch is great to have because it can play all the titles the Switch has to offer, play on TV, and multiplayer. This particular edition is near and dear to my heart because it is Animal Crossing. Ive been playing the series for a while now and it helps me relax having a nod to a favorite franchise is great. I absolutely love the pastel green and blue Joycons and the light tan grips it comes with. I havent had any drifting problems yet knocks on woodOverall, it is a beautiful piece that is cheerful and has wonderful details on the back of the console. Hopefully, you can get one before the scalpers skyrocket the price back to 700900.

Decided to invest in one of these early January, primarily to catch up on the backlog of first party, high quality IPs and in wait for Monster Hunter Rise whilst also spending time with my wife kids.Ive enjoyed my time with it so far, as have my wife and eldest son.I have my gripes with it though. It lacks an ethernet port on the dock, the system is pretty bare bones in terms of customisation, with no themes music and a limited avatar selection. They also charge you a monthly fee akin to PS or XBL albeit cheaper and lock your cloud saves behind that with no way to save them to USB storage instead. It also has uncomfortable form factor in handheld mode, at least for me, thus I use it docked when possible with a Pro Controller.Despite my gripes, I enjoy the system and I do not regret the purchase. Ive had a lot of fun with Mario Kart, Breath of the Wild is stellar and Smash is great fun. Works great as a complimentary system as opposed to it being the home console.

Quick shipping, well packed. The console is easy to setup and use and fun to play. Games are pricey, but I expected that. There are some bargain games available, so you could get hours of gaming pretty cheap if you wanted, but if you want to play the big name games Kart, Party, Smash Bros, Animal Crossing, Zelda, etc., you gotta shell out 60 a game. What really ticked me off was the 5 a month charge to play online. I bought the console for playing with my family remotely, since, thanks to COVID, we dont see each other often, so I pretty much had to pay the reoccurring charge for this service. Considering the price of the console, then the games, then extra controllers, etc etc this extra charge is ridiculous. After buying just two games, Im 420 into this console already, now I have to pay 60 a year I knocked off a star for that.

The Nintendo Switch has taken over as my sons favorite system. Our Xbox one rarely gets played anymore. Though the switch died connect to the TV, I find that my son and from what I hear, his friends, prefer to play handheld. Obviously its also great for road trips. I was able to get it at a time when it was sold out everywhere but Best Buy was restocked and delivered it promptlyWeber had it a few months now, with no issues. The battery life is good and the gameplay is fantastic. My only concern is I didnt originally get a protection plan to do I used the chat to add it. While the customer service rep told me I am now covered, I have never received any confirmation on documentation for the protection play. Luckily, Best Buys website emails the chat transcript, so I do have that as proof should any issues arise

Bought this in August 2020 for a Christmas present for this year, not knowing if there would be any availble closer to Christmas. My daughter opened it up on Christmas day. We unpackaged it from the box and proceded to hook it up to play on the Big Screen TV. Everything worked on the Switch, except for getting it to display on any of our televisions. We did all the trouble shooting that we could find. Nothing worked. It would only display on the screen for short moments after wiggling the Switch in the cradle, but it refused to stay on. So, after testing it with other switch systems we discovered there is a short either in the Switch or its cradle. It really sucks that you pay so much for a game system, and it fails to work properly once your child opens it up to use it on Christmas day.

I had been wanting a switch for a hot minute, and finally gave in on my birthday to get one, with Animal Crossing New Horizons coming out. I would have gotten the Animal Crossing style one, but it was completely sold out for a while by then, so I opted for this one.The battery life is amazing, and compared to my little brothers switch he has the 1st version, mine lasts way longer. The joy cons are super easy to use, and I love that I can play on the TV or on the console itself with the screen. The colors are gorgeous, and the system itself is very user friendly. It was important to me that Id actually play on the switch before buying. I am in no way a gamer, and actually struggle a lot with games, because I stress out or dont know what to do. I currently have Zelda Breath of the Wild favorite game right now, definitely get it as your first, LA Noire, two of the Lego games, Stardew Valley, and Civilizations VI. So far, I have enjoyed playing all of these games on the switch, and have used my switch quite a bit since picking it up. The use will definitely go up once Animal Crossing comes out.Overall, I am in love with this system, and definitely think it is worth the 300 price tag. I wish it came with a portable charger and a basic case, but other than that, its fabulous

This is Version 2 of the Original Nintendo Switch. It was great and 10x times better in loading up games and doenloading them as well. The processor has been upgraded to work to its fastest potential. The batter life lasts longer while youre playing the games as well. Just depends what game youre playing determine the battery life span. But in overall, i enjoy playing this version of the Switch. Nintendo should have created this a year later after its original release of 2017. Great improvment but late start. If you dont have a Switch get this version for sure.I managed to order one from Best Buy website online. I havent seen much of these on the shelves yet so this is still an essential item during this Covid 19 year. Be safe everyone and Happy Gaming

I am SOO HAPPY I got one My favorite color is red so this is the best thing I have ever bought. Im loving it soo much. It looks soo much better than any of the special edition Nintendo Switch because they made it just like the original and color it red. No fancy design or out of place art. It also came with a carrying case and a plastic screen protector. The carrying case feels good just like any of the 24.99, so that was a big bonus. Im not gonna use the screen protector cause I prefer temper glass, but still great that it came with one. The joycon controller is a nice blue and goes well with the red. I just didnt like the strap cause it seemed out of place but thats my opinion.

I bought this console instore, it was the last one in all the near walmarts near me. I ran to that crystal box where they keep all the switches, hahaha. But, so far its really great. I remember this used to be priced at 800 but i got it for the original price. The controllers have a really nice color and the game is not included I knew this, but if youre planning on buying it, just letting you know. The docking system is so cool, you can just remove the switch and its right there on the smaller screen. You guys shoul definitely get this item for yourself or another along with Animal Crossing. No matter how old you are, there will always be a game that fits you. 5 stars

Love this I was so ready to buy one last year and I saw that target had a great black Friday deal so I just had to get it. So many great games with more and more coming out. My favorites are Zelda BOTW, Mario Odessy, Mario Kart 8, and Animal Crossing New Horizons. I would really recommend this console to anybody because it is just so worth it. The only problem I have with this is the joy cons. Ive had this console for less than a year and the joy con drift the controllers sense movement and move even when you are touching them and its SUPER annoying. I cant even enjoy playing games anymore its just so tedious. I have to buy a pro controller now. So if you are thinking of buying this console, just know that eventually you will most likely need to buy a new controller joycons, somehow fix it on your own, or maybe even contact Nintendo. Its really an inconvenience but other than that this console is amazing

    Thwompthing

Ill be brutally honest about Nintendo consoles for the last 15 years. They have been performing subpar in the hardware department and the Switch is no different. Nintendo has drastically changed their focus sine the glory days of the SNES and N64 and it certainly shows. No longer do we have the graphics that were ahead of our time like the 16bit sprites that still hold up to this day. Instead we get bad resolutions and frame rates that are present on almost every switch game. The Nintendo Switch can barely produce a 1080p picture in the year 2020, which is leagues behind the other two consoles and PC. Not to mention the frame rates are mostly 30fps or slower, like in Breath of the Wild or The Witcher 3, among several other AAA titles. Games run even worse in portable mode. This is simply unacceptable in this day and age. There is also no optical input, so if you arent using a receiver or instead have a sound system that only has optical or analog, then you are screwed and will not get any surround sound. Truly pathetic.I have found no reason to buy any 3rd party video game for the Nintendo Switch as they all run inferior to the Xbox One X and PS4 Pro and PC. This makes the Switch pretty irrelevant in my household. The only reason I still have this system is for the very, very, very FEW first party games that are great, like Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, BoTW, Links Awakening, etc. Most of the exclusives on Switch are very bad and childish or family oriented games that I do not care for.All those cons I listed are mostly personal preference, but the poor hardware capability of this system cannot be ignored. I am playing games in 4k resolution on the other consoles and on PC, so the fact that Nintendo has FINALLY made the jump to 1080p DOCKED is laughable at best. And the fact that most of the games run like garbage forces me to knock off 2 stars to give this system an average rating at best. Now on to the one good thing about this system, if there is such a thing. I have not been a mobile gamer since I was a kid, because there simply is no reason to be a mobile gamer as an adult. I own a LED 4k HDR TV, dont fly on airplanes, dont ride trains, never a passenger in a vehicle, not able to play at work nor would I want to on a tiny screen, etc.If you are someone who travels a LOT, and I mean a LOT then this hybrid console is for you. Id almost be inclined to recommend the Lite version instead at that point. But if you are someone who has been gaming on a TV since video games existed, then you might be sorely disappointed with this console. Also, I believe my 3DS has a better library than the Switch so if I ever play portable its my 3DS still, since I have better titles on that than I have found on the Switch. So, I have to give it 3 stars at the most based on these reasons in nutshell,Cons Very poor performancehardware Too few great exclusives that I care about Online component is yet again extremely limited Third party games are pointless on Switch outside mobile gaming Joycons are hit and miss. In some games they will not be very responsive DK Tropical Freeze is a great example. This is a very popular issue that still is not fixed to my knowledge.Pros Portability is great for constant travelers or children with no TV Price is great Some people will enjoy the more familychildlike exclusivesFinal verdict fair to average console for me and most of the adults I know personally. Definitely recommend a PS4 Pro or Xbox One x over the Switch if you only have 1 choice.

A nice change up, I know that a new better system is coming out in a few months switch pro, but honestly I bought this console mainly for my gf and kids. I guess Ive been spoiled with PlayStations catalog and just forgot how fun Nintendos are. My last nintendo was a n64 when I was a kid so this is kinda a nice treat. I enjoy the flexibility it overs with the transition from handheld to dock. I wished the joy con joystick were a little more stiff, I downloaded apex and literally deleted the game mainly because of how it felt in the controls. I know nintendo makes a gamer control thats licensed by their brand but Ive heard mixed reviews. Either way Im having fun with this console and my family is too.

Animal Crossing is by far one of Nintendos superior titles. It includes the perfect balance of nostalgia original gameplay, mechanics and tasks alongside familiar villagers and NPCs who are as welcoming as ever. To the new mechanics and tasks which has breathed new life into the game where I didnt even think was necessary but fits incredibly easily. I will play this for hours at a time, indulging in what each new task has to offer me. Playing with friends and interacting has never been smoother or easier, allowing for the link also with the Nintendo Switch app which makes playing with friends all the more easier. I know, even only after playing the game for the past 3 days without fail, that I will not tire from it. It helps that I have loved and enjoyed previous Animal Crossing titles but this has absolutely stolen my heart and I am back loving console gaming more than ever. The tote bag which I received due to preordering Animal Crossing is amazing. The quality is that of a bag I would purchase separately, it feels expensive and perfectly designed. I will be playing this game consistently for the foreseeable future. Thank you so much, Nintendo

This is my first Nintendo since the Wii and I was ecstatic to be entering the Nintendo Sphere once more. Ive had the Switch for a good while now and havent slowed down yet. I play 70 handheld and the rest of the time docked. I have small hands, but havent had a problem holding the unit since the first day. The joycons are okay for handheld, but Ive found that I prefer the pro controller when playing docked. The system itself is very smooth, only issue is the eshop but thats another story. I chose to go fully digital so I purchased a 1TB micro sd and only have 300 gigs remaining so sad. This is a great system for at home or on the go gaming.

My family and I have 2 switches, we enjoy them both but heres the quirk that we dont enjoy. If you have a Family Nintendo Online account, the primary account can enjoy games on both switches digital downloads but the other members of the family cannot play those games regardless of if they are being played on the other switch. Now this is not an issue if you own the physical cartridge so note that the problem is only with digital editions. Second quirk, most games do not have cloud saves and when you transfer a save between systems it fully moves it from one system to the other. Now, those are the only negatives that I can say about the switch. If you are a solo player and are not sharing a system then I doubt youll run into these issues. Battery Life is good, screen is good, games are fun. And, again if you are a solo player the digital store is great if you dont want to carry around a bunch of game cards.

It keeps the kids busy for hours Watching their fav Hulu show, playing their faviorte Nintendo games okay lets face it kids and their fortnight, am I right. But this isnt to say their isnt flaws. I do not play video games, or hand held game things. When I personally hold it I worry the controllers need more stability, yes theyre stable but how stable The dock… the dock, I like the concept of the way it stands or can be laid down for charging or HDMI output, but within 24hrs of purchasing the charging piece got jammed down into the dock, thankfully my husband is a friggin life saver and fixed it. The controllers are awkward in my opinion remember I dont like video games it could just be me. And what is with the no Netflix or Disneys Apps are STILL limited, which makes movie enjoying limited although it is a gaming device so… HD is amazing, action games are fun to watch, though. I personally dont think the cons out weigh the pros, and I would recommend it but with caution.

The Nintendo Switch released in 2017, and I was enthusiastically awaiting it Forward to 2020, I wanted my wife to have her own Switch so I could have mine back This fit the bill perfectly I dont know if this particular Switch model has circle pad drift, my wife mainly plays it docked, with a Pro Controller. Ive heard that its a lil better but I am uncertain. The aesthetics of this console are nice looking. I am appreciative of Nintendo for rereleasing this, especially because itll diminish the scalpers on ebay. Overall the Switch is a fantastic console, whether you play in handheld mode or on the TV. Be sure to check the Nintendo eShop weekly, there are litterally 100s of games under 5 that are amazing Get a SD card too The Switch intenal memory isnt that large, and higher capacity SD cards are fairly inexpensive. I would day youd do well the second highest selling Nintendo console of all time

Perfect size to take with you if youre out on vacation or in the waiting room. Has a nice selection of games, and its perfect to stream movies on. Has a few free and low priced games if youre not wanting to spend a bunch of money. And a few large titles that are cross platform are available. The dock and equipment make chargingstoring easy, and having the ability to turn the joycons into a controller is awesome But if youre used to an Xbox or PlayStation controller then it may take some time getting used to.But most games are expensive which I knew beforehand and load times can be slow, even with plenty of storage space. Even just browsing through the store there is a bit of lag.

I initially bought this for Zelda and Smash Bros, but have since also become a big fan of Pokemon Lets Go Eevee, Animal Crossing, and have enjoyed bunches upon bunches of indie games like Freedom Planet, Undertale, and Gato Roboto. Truly a console offering something for everyone. My only complaints would have to be around the JoyCon controllers themselves. Definitely invest in a pro controller or two if you plan on any amount of couch play. JoyCons have had some connectivity issues that make games needing precision controls much more challenging than need be. Also, getting the NES and SNES library, along with Tetris 99 as free service with your Switch online membership is a nice perk makes the 20 or whatever worth it.

Overall, I rate the Nintendo Switch 4.5 out of 5 stars. I love the ingenuity of the device it is amazing that it is both a portable device as well as playable on the television. The display in portable mode is still amazing at 720p, and it is beautiful docked at 1080p. The Animal Crossing edition is absolutely stunning I love the pastel green and blue colors, and the back of the device is awestriking with the Animal Crossing themed etchings.Pros Beautiful design, creativeversatile device portableplayable on television, nice sized display, versatile JoyCons.Cons Fragile and cheap plastic kickstand at the back of the device two kickstands would have better supported the device. The interface is very boring and lacks customization I found that the only interesting feature is that you can customize your Mii. The Nintendo eShop is like a landfill full of garbage. There are hardly any great games besides the top Nintendo titles. The eShop is plagued of overpriced mobile games, and even the games on sale are of low quality.Dock The dock is simple to use however, I found that I had to adjust the tablet at least once in the dock in order to get the device to connect to my television. Also, the device would disconnect after a short amount of time of nonuse around 30 minutes. The docks Animal Crossing theme is stunning. The docks openingflap made it easier to keep the cords out of the way.JoyCons I did not use them unattached from the device often because I used a Nintendo Pro controller when the Switch was docked. However, they can be used in a variety of ways separately, attached to the tablet, and in the JoyCon grip. I love the versatility of the JoyConsJoyCon grip The JoyCon grip was quite comfortable to use, but I much preferred using the Nintendo Pro controller, which I found to be incredibly comfortable. I wish that the JoyCon grip was Animal Crossing themed like the rest of the accessories.

As a longtime fan of Animal Crossing, I can safely say that New Horizons is probably the best game out of the series so far. With a heavier focus on creativity and taking your time, Animal Crossing New Horizons is definitely a great game to spend all day relaxing and making your island just the way you want it This game is great for all ages, and I would gladly recommend it to anyone who asks. I really admire how in New Horizons, you can be whoever you are, and look however you want without worrying about what others say. The characters are all loveable and full of personality, and this game is probably one of my top favorites so far. The graphics of the game are mesmerising, compared to the previous entries in the series, and you can clearly see that, ESPECIALLY in areas like the Museum. Simply breathtaking. The only thing Im slightly disappointed in is that the music ingame is not as varied as its precursor, Animal Crossing New Leaf. With New Leaf, every couple hours in your town was accompanied by their own themes, adding variety and aesthetic in the morning hours, music would be bright and peppy, and in the evening hours, things were more relaxed and calm. But I understand that this is not really something that is critical to a game like NH, and who knows, maybe Ill end up unlocking something like this as I progress through the game This aside, New Horizons is definitely a great game thats worth the cash I actually feel like I didnt spend enough on it and DEFINITELY worth your time.

The color combination of this set is very pleasing to the eye, especially when you see it in person. However if they wanted it to be more Mario themed, they couldve added more. And now the red border around the system was to me, a bad design choice, if you pair it with differently colored Joycons, it will look very ugly, and given that all Joycons get drift at some point, youre kind of forced to pair it with different Joycons, but its not a truly groundbreaking design flaw and it doesnt disrupt any gameplay. The carrying case looks nice, with there being cute little designs on the blue, though, the carrying case is somewhat soft, if you drop your switch in the case itll most likely get some damage. Overall, a nice system with some design oversights. Overall a very nice console with a few design flaws

This is my first Switch and when I started shopping I didnt expect to get a themed edition but thats what they had so I snatched it. I was slightly concerned that the two controllers being different colors would really bother me. It turns out they arent as bright as on the box and you dont notice it after a while. This would be a 5 star product but for three things.First no 4k is unacceptable. At the time the switch was first created 4k was proven to more than a fad, theres no excuse.Second, what is up with voice chat Does Nintendo own stock in a cell phone company we dont no about Worst decision ever. For a lot of people this is a deal breaker and honestly its why Im so late to the party. Ive been waiting for years for Nintendo to get their heads on straight. That didnt happen and I finally stuck my toe in the water, with reluctance I might add. I ultimately decided I would stick with my xbox, ps, and pc for real gaming and got the Switch just so I could have something for travel. Finally, I like things that match and its all but impossible to get controllers that not only match one another but the console itself. I get it some people like to dress like clowns but give normal people a option to match colors. Nintendo seems to be going far a field to exclude people with OCD.

Product is good. However shipping was ridiculous I ordered the item with free shipping. The item was an Xmas present. They sent me an email saying it will be delivered from a store a day early and either in a plastic bag or the package the item was sold in. I called Walmart twice and tried to make sure that it was in a shipping box before they left it on my porch. Well didnt work. So a new Nintendo switch, a 300 item, was placed on my porch with no packing to hide what it was. Also the item was supposed to be a ln gift for Xmas and now it is no longer a surprise. Everyone in the house saw it sitting on the doorstep. Very disappointed in Walmart for this Why on earth would they deliver a 300 item and leave it on the porch without trying to hide it in another box. I am shocked it was still there on the porch when my wife got home. Just take a look at how it was delivered. Great way for it to be stolen.

I much prefer hand held consoles so the switch has been a hit for me. We originally bought it for my fianc and I too share, however I get so addicted to the games I play, I think we need to buy him his own.I will say one of the controllers got joy on drift a few months ago and we had to buy replacements. Supposedly Nintendo would have replaced it however I didnt want to wait, so Im unsure. The new controllers work fine. Weve only had it for a little over a year but it seems to be in great condition other than the joycon issue.I also really like that the Nintendo store has a huge variety of games, which also include many indie games. However some of those games dont seem to get updated anymore. Sad.

Pros The Nintendo Switch is a wonderful handheld. I like that you can switch up how you play. This comes in handy, depending on the game I am playing. If its ACNH, I leave the switch as it is. If its Luigis Mansion 3 for example, I find it easier to remove the joycons and use them in little joycon holder like an old school controller. I also like the idea that I dont need a tv to play with friends. Its quite a neat device and I am glad I was able to get one when these were sold out everywhere during lockdown.Cons I havent experienced it yet but I am nervous about drift. The joy cons are expensive on their own to replace. Furthermore, the device itself is quite expensive, and the games are VERY expensive. Especially if you want to buy loads of games since the number of games being ported to the switch is quite large I prefer physical copies of games so I can sell the ones I dont like or have outgrown. But Nintendo tends to have very good discounts from time to time on the eShop so its actually best to invest in a 1TB sd card for this device. Those, on their own, arent cheap. Therefore, to look at the overall investment costs to have and use this device to its full capability and capacity, youre looking at a lot of money

I bought this one because I liked the colors compared to the plain gray or redblue versions. Its actually a great piece of technology, and interesting direction Nintendo has taken with their next gen console. Purpose for getting this compared to anything else, I already have a PS4 and wanted to play games on breaks or in bed but without sacrificing graphic quality. I can say it exceeded my expectations, and has so many nostalgic games that it was worth it. The only criticism is the space on this device is 32GB, which should be fine if you play on playing a few games. But over time youll run out of space, so be mindful that may be something to purchase when you see an SD card on sale. I purchased a 256 GB card for cyber Monday and got a great deal because I plan to download digital games directly without having to mess with physical cartridges themselves. Plan on getting a screen protector as well as a case to make sure you dont damage it, it can get scratched easily if youre not careful.

It has only been a week since I received my Switch and one of the Joycons are already faulty if you heard of the Joycon drift controversy, it happened to me on my first week of playing It would suddenly disconnect in the middle of the game and take another 10 mins to reconnect. Sometimes characters would randomly move or respond when I am not pressing any buttons. Nintendos manufacturing team would be to blame. Ill see if Target would be able to offer me a replacement or help me fix it.Also, Targets delivery team left my Switch out in the open in a very sunny, hot day. They didnt even bother to ring the doorbell when I was home all day. When I went outside to check, the box was obviously overheating probably had been there for a good hour or two. This might have something to do with the faulty Joycons, but I am not sure.Despite the issues, I really enjoy it so far. Its interactive, and a fair bit of games require teamwork. Ive been playing it with my younger siblings 10, 15yr old and we all love it. In terms of games, I recommend Super Mario Party and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe

The Switch is a great alternative or in my familys case, addition, to other consoles like the XBox One. It carries several game exclusives that are fun and suitable for the entire family. The wife and I really enjoy Animal Crossings had no idea until I bought for her for Mothers Day. When this became available again from the COVID shortages I decided to get my own. The unique Animal Crossing colors on the joy cons are a bonus to me. The skin on the white docking station is unique as well. The game is sold separately which would have made sense to create a bundle but I guess since its in high demand there is no incentive. The best thing about the Switch is its effortless transition from handheld to full console that is hooked to your tv through hdmi connected to the dock. The removable onboard joy cons do seem tiny and flimsy I have large hands but appear to be of good quality. I have heard of them developing controller drift but what controller doesnt these days if you use it long enough. We use the PowerA wireless controllers anyway that are typical size and similar to XBox controllers. That setup has worked well.

My 6 year old grandsons, who live in a different state, got a Switch for Christmas. Due to Covid19, I dont get to see them that often these days. So I bought a Switch so that we can play games together over WiFi. I havent been much of a gamer since the early 80s and most Xbox and PlayStation games are way too complex beyond my ability. But with the Switch I was able to download all the original NES and SUPER NES games Mario, Donkey Kong and all the others. Its fabulous. Also, new games, like Mario Odyssey and Untitled Goose game are tons of fun for me without needing a book to get through them. All in all its a great console, great for everyone including us old boomers and young players. Also, if Im playing a game and my wife needs to watch a tv show I can just pull the Switch out of its dock and use it as a portable device. Definitely love this console and recommend it. Also, for you younger folk, my Millennial older daughter has hers with her all the time.

The Nintendo Switch is a really great flexible device. Graphics are never the priority when it comes to Nintendo games which works very for it and the gameplay of a lot of these games is very great.Playing portably is really nice, since you are able to play games that are usually played on a PC or home console. The only slight downside is that some of the heavier and bigger games e.g. The Witcher, Bioshock etc, you will notice that the resolution has been deceased to the point of seeing some blockiness. But this is only if you are really picky. If you can enjoy a game without nit picking on graphics then this is beautiful. Docking the console allows you to play it on any TV with a HDMI port for that couch experience. Docking also usually alleviates graphical or resolution based downgrades, as the extra power in the dock allows games to be played smoother and at higher resolutions.Carrying this around isnt too bad. Although it is a bigger handheld that the 3DS, its really great to carry and play on the go. The only thing you want to be careful of is battery life. I get about 34 hours depending the game which for me is fine. If im carrying it, then i usually carry a 30000 mah power bank that can charge it a few times to full. The JoyCons are a great control method whether you play attached or detached. Another slight issue i have here personally is that my hands are slightly bigger that the average hands and you may get some strain playing for longer periods of time. This is perfect for small to medium hands. But there are many accessories out there to alleviate this e.g. Grips. The final thing is that digital games on the Switch tend to be a little more expensive that their Xbox, PlayStation PC counterparts. But discounts almost happen on a weekly basis so just add games onto your wishlist and wait. Youll be saving a lot of money this way and often cheaper than buying physically.Overall, i am super happy with this console. I love it and play on it regularly. Great product from Nintendo. Highly recommend.

So this product is really a holygrail item and a necessity in our household. My brother purchased it for himself, then gifted it to my then 8yearold son at the time as a birthday gift. This travels EVERYWHERE with us, and I have to say has been an absolute lifesaver during the pandemic. My son loves taking the controllers off and connecting it to our living room TV for familygame time. He loves every new game he receives, and my other brother purchased the Nintendo Labo set for him virtual reality. Im actually surprised and shocked that the cardboard items have not been destroyed in the last two years after all, he is a 9 yearold boy, but this is the best gaming system I have ever seen or used. He prefers this over his XBox and the Wii. Definitely our favorite and a staple in our house for years to come. One point of critical feedback and I think this is more from abuse of the product than an actual design flaw, is that one of the controllers that came with the unit malfunctioned and the buttons began sticking. He received a gifted replacement set that was not Nintendo brand. After one minor fall, the side crushed in Nintendo must use nextgen plastic and rubber combinations in their materials, and it was unusable. He was able to earn a new Nintendobranded controller set by doing chores lol, and he opted for the grey option. He LOVES his switch just as much as ever now, and we have avoided a tragic incident. His next wishlist item is Animal Crossing III. We just wish there was a promo code or an option that costs less than 60 ouch thats a lot of 1 chores, haha. I remember playing on the original Nintendo its amazing how far technology has come since the ancient days of my youth. All in all, an amazing product and honestly my sons favorite. Thank you, Nintendo, for helping our youth create and establish fond youthful gaming memories.

tldr Get this, dont get the Switch Lite. It is a great system for almost any type of gamer.Ive been a console gamer since 1984 when my parents bought me an Atari 2600. Most of my life I was a diehard Nintendo fan. While my gaming preferences have evolved over the last 1015 years PlayStation fanboy nowadays Ive still owned every Nintendo and Xbox system thats been released, even if they were primarily played by my boys. This Switch however is MINE my son has had one since launch. I love that it is a cross between a portable and a console. I love that I can play it on the go, or during downtime in another game ie waiting for a party to fill in Final Fantasy XIV.32GB is NOTHING so make sure to pick up a micro SD card right away still mad that Sony mad the Vita memory cards proprietary And if youre like me and prefer to buy digital games vs physical, be warned that it will need a quick internet check each time you start a game which tbh, there may be a workaround that I havent looked into yet which was a bummer when I was planning on playing some Smash Bros. on a recent flight but couldnt…If you are trying to decide between this and the Switch Lite Get this model The flexibility of being able to detach the JoyCons and to play it seamlessly on your TV is WELL worth the extra cost.

The product I am reviewing is the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch is a home console that can change to handheld mode. You can play at home or on the go. It has a dock for connecting to your TV. The Joycon controllers can be removed to play with a friend or simply used as a single controller. I came across this product when it was heavily advertised. The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild is the game that made me interested in buying the Nintendo Switch. Then Super Smash Bros, Ultimate was announced and I ended up receiving the switch as a gift for Christmas 2018.The main strengths of the product are the exclusives and the portability. Nintendo exclusives are highly rated. The exclusives have devoted and passionate fan bases that affected the popularity of the product. I am a devoted Pokemon and The Legend of Zelda fan. Its the main reason I desired and bought the product. The Nintendo Switch can be used for on the go entertainment. The battery can last a couple of hours depending on the game. I find this very convenient. For instance, on a trip you can bring along the switch and play The Legend of Zelda for at most 5 or 3 hours depending on the model. The main weakness of the product is the pricing and quality of the joy cons. Joy con drift is an issue that can be affected by drops, being outdated, being unclean, or the lack of ability to keep up with the input. The price for a new pair of joy cons is too expensive. In certain games if you are putting your inputs too quick it stops responding. For example, I play a game called Overwatch and drift occurred frequently. I bought a new pair of joy cons for 80 and immediately drift was back. I then had to buy a pro controller and thankfully drift is gone. The joy cons couldnt keep up with the fast paced first person shooter game.I recommend for people to buy this system because of the exclusives and the portability. Although there is a problem with the joy cons, it can be solved by using a pro controller. This problem doesnt affect the overall opinion too harshly because of the simple solution. You can find a much better value in the Nintendo Switch bundles. The final grade I give this product is an A.

Due to being out of stock, I had to wait a couple of months but I am so pleased I did and that I bought from John Lewis with their great customer service.Although Ive only not had it long, the console seems fantastic so far. I love that it can be used as handheldtabletop or plugged in through the TV. The colours are vibrant and the screen is a great size when used as a handheld. Battery life seems good so far played for several hours over a couple of weeks and there is still some of the original charge left. The joy cons are comfortable to use and you can obtain additional ones if needed. I absolutely love that you can get the muted grey colour joy cons rather than the very bright bluered. Protectiveaestheticallypleasing accessories can be purchased also.Overall, Im super pleased Ive only played Yoshis Crafted World so far which is very cute but have other games waiting. I would definitely recommend due to quality, portability, fun and variety of games available.

I had no idea that my child is talking to anyone other than a couple of friends from school who I thought he was

I bought this for my son his 7th birthday a couple weeks ago. He already has the Switch Lite so o decided to get this one plus hes been wanting it. Im very satisfied with it I love it depending which games you can play up to 8 players of course with more than 1 console but on the same screen. I honestly love it brings me back to my childhood its very addicting lol I do have to time my kid though otherwise he would be on it all day the controllers that come with it are small can be a 1 player or 2 player controllers. Differences between this one and Lite is u can play on tv and bigger screen on the item itself and of course multiplayer also a lot of games I bought he couldnt play on his Lite it was only available to use on this switch.. if you have a lot of games like me he has about 15 games you will need a memory card so I bought one too and you can log into your Switch Lite account on to this device and re download your games from your Lite. Theres a lot of fun games old school and new games as well of course. Great gift very much recommend I bought it at GameStop 299 plus all the taxes… and they do have bundles it was very hard to find so you got to check early mornings at Best Buy, GameStop, Target and Walmart… well I had to for weeks lol.

Nintendo has always been one of my favorite systems. This is a nice piece of equipment with great style to it. It has many great games and its fun to play with the family. Mobility or stationed in one place Nintendo really made this addition accessible to play. Comes with internet subscription which youll have to pay or you can buy the hard copy. Downside for me is that I really do wish they had a hard copy game of the older nintendo games that you can purchase and play offline instead of using the online subscription. But none the less it is pretty cool. It functions smoothly every time and the graphics are always amazing.

I have had every Nintendo system since the NES to the WiiU but didnt get to the Switch until now, March 2020 and I regret not getting it sooner. I have also been into the other competitors XBox and Playstation but I am sick of the same old first person shooter games that give nothing but staring down the barrel of a gun with slightly different backgrounds. I prefer the variety of the Mario style games or Rayman. Even a game like Monopoly shines on the Switch. What stands out the most is how small the console is , slightly bigger than a Samsung 10 phone without the Joycons attached. It can fit in a pocket easily. There are too many options this system has packed into it to mention here so try YouTube reviews to get you hands on reviews. If you want the shooter games with realistic scenes then avoid the Switch. If you like Mario style games you will love this system. On a HD TV or computer screen the Switch graphics are spectacular unless you expect XBox style realistic shooter games. I see some complaining there isnt enough storage space but you can purchase memory cards made specifically for the Switch and swap them out. I also use the pro controllers instead of the Joycons because they are much easier to use. Another thing I did was purchase another docking station 3rd party around 30 to attach to a different TV making switching rooms incredibly simple remove from docking station , walk into another room and attach to another docking station in seconds. The Switch has a lot of options like this making moving it around a lot easier than the competitors. Its not the graphics powerhouse you see in the other competitors but it runs circles around them in portability , games , connections and so on. The strength of Nintendo is their huge variety of games that cover most everyones needs. Right now the Corona Virus has everything locked down and if you want to see what system is the most popular and selling like gold try and find yourself a Switch to buy that is new.

Ive been searching all over the place to find a Switch still in stock, with everyone saying theyll be back in stock the end of April or late May at the latest this was literally the only I could find at the time. When I got it, I honestly didnt mind the extras though I did run into a little issue, somewhat on my part and some on theirs. Dont know if they have or will, as of writing this review, updated the products description but the case says it fits both versions of the Switch and when I tried it didnt. I was wrong. In the case, there is a pouch that you put the Switch with the Joycons on inside, that is for the Switch Lite and you remove the pouch itself to fit the regular Switch a pal told me this as I thought it was sewed on not velcroed and I couldnt find anything about it online.I feel really stupid about it, especially since I went through submitting an incident and crap. Hopefully this helps anyone who thought the same as me.

the FOMO of not having a regular switch and also the desire to get one with cute colors consumed me and i bought the animal crossing switch. the colors are so pretty they are very much in the middle of a pastel and a neon, with the green hue being similar to the mildliner highlighter colors. this is my first time using a switch but i found it easy to use and set up.the dock is cute and the engraving on the back of the actual switch is very subtle but a nice touch.im very happy i bought it but am worried about joycon drifting. i know that is an issue and i dont think i have experienced it but i worry that if i have to replace the joycons id have to get the ugly redblue or gray ones. thats the whole purppse of buying this edition right for the colorswell, i hope i wont have to come to that or maybe ill just get a separate controller.one thing to note is that because the joycons are such a light color they may stain easier than the regular colors so id suggest to get some clear jelly covers to put onto them.

My son got his Nintendo switch for Christmas and still uses it everyday. He also uses the switch to watch YouTube. Most of the games we have purchased, I have played along with him. My favorite game, so far is Mario Deluxe The switch is the perfect size for him to play in the car or elsewhere as a hand held device. He also loves playing through the tv. The red and blue controllers slide onoff for multi player games or hand held single player mode. Separate controllers can also be used and are very easy to maneuver. The console is charged very easy with the stand alone charger which double as a holder for controllers. This is a very worth while item that will entertain kids from as young as 5 years through adulthood

Great console. Sure, its not quite as powerful as a Playstation or XBox, but for what its meant for, it does great. Before I got it I never thought I would ever take it out of its dock and strictly play through the television. Lo and behold, I rarely have it in the dock for anything other than charging.I do have a small amount of buyers remorse, as I cant think of any reason I would buy a game for the Switch if it is also available for Playstation. As an adult and the only gamer in the house, there arent many Switch exclusives that catch my interest. Breath of the Wild is the only game I have at the moment and Im having a hard time finding any other games I wouldnt rather play on a more powerful machine. That being said, Nintendos IP is the real draw for the Switch, in my opinion. If not for Zelda, I wouldnt have even thought about getting the console. What I like Its duality as a traditional and portable console in one small package mini SD expandable memory. I havent needed it yet, but I can see myself losing the tiny game cartridges so I will likely opt for downloading games if I expand my library Cartridges instead of discs allow for much quicker loading times. Decent battery life compared to DS and Gameboy systems, especially considering the software its runningWhat I dont care for Not a wide variety of exclusive software for more mature gamers The scale of the controllers. Im sure its fine for children, but adults will definitely want to splurge for the Pro Controller. The design of the dock. It fully encompasses the console when inserted and has nothing to protect the fragile plastic screen from scratching. I can see Nintendo redesigning this aspect at some point, much like they changed the original NES from inserting a cartridge in a covered port to top loading.

The Switch arrived earlier than what it was estimated be delivered, I Didnt have any luck since it arrived when the weather was sprinkling rain. Checked the switch and accessories all of which were in the box in very good condition and working with no signs of liquid EXCEPT for the missing AC Adaptor Whenever some of ya decide to buy refurbished switches BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR MISSING ACCESSORIES. I was able to successfully power on the switch and set it up, Buttons and Joy Cons were tested and working perfectly no drifts, but there was a sudden power shut off when I tested to see if the switch was charging. The battery charge symbol on the top left of the screen wasnt showing and the switch wasnt turning on Could be a faulty battery. After about 1020 minutes I was luckily able to power on the switch and tested fast charging. Overall Id say The condition of the external switch was very pristine but maybe one or two internal issues are possibly presented and the missing AC Adaptor which made this a 3 star review. There is still 15 days left if I decide to return this product. But first I will keep monitoring the performance of the switch but fingers crossed it runs smoothly without having anymore potential issues.

So, my kid has been asking for one of these for a year now. Finally broke down and decided to get it for her. Checking online every 15 minutes as they are constantly flying out of stock. If i got it added to cart it was out of stock before i could hit purchase now so, when i finally got one i was excited. Perfect Christmas present. Received notification today product delivered early and to my door and a picture was included. I have a locked fence around entrance to my door so i immediately knew driver went to wrong house Here was an expensive item unwrapped and in front of someone elses door. I had to walk around street looking for it. Thankfully i found it before neighbor or their children came outside and claimed my package. As my full name nor address was on label they wouldnt even be able to return it to me. I expected better. This couldve turned out awful.

This is perhaps the most intuitive gaming console ever made. The ability to grab and go as a portable handheld device or to dock for a bigscreen session at your leisure is awesome. But equally awesome is the systems sleep function, which essentially works as an extended pause feature in any game at any point in the game. It makes picking up where you left off so simple and is especially handy in games with limited save points that would otherwise force you to wait until you get to a save point before you can turn off the game. You can even pause and sleep right in the middle of a boss fight if something comes up that needs your attention, and then you can pick it back up anytime and resume. Everything is so smooth, and the vast selection of games means theres something for everyone. I highly recommend it.

This is the BEST Nintendo system that has ever been made You can play one player handheld, 2 player handheld, on your TV, multiplayer up to 8, and online multiplayer. You can also sign up to Nintendo online unlimited and play EVERY game ever made by Nintendo So awesome We have bought numerous games especially all the super mario games. This is guaranteed hours of fun for children and adults. I play all the time with my child. I bought it for her when the console first ever came out and it has never disappointed us and has never broke or has any technical issues. I get to play old nintendo games from my childhood with my own child its so cool My daughter loves it There are lots of different accessories to get the most and items to customize your console. You can even use youtube on it, so convenient. Lots of entertainment. Great for gamer parties because multiple children can play at once. You can also use your cellphone as a switch control. You can download games directly from the Nintendo switch to save space of games piling up in you home and carrying extra games. The games are so tiny, they are light weight and very easy to insert. The best. Nintendo Switch Neon

I was a bit skeptical on buying a switch because its been out for so long now. I heard rumors about there being a new switch coming soon but didnt really pay attention to those. Id say if you havent gotten a switch yet just go ahead and get it especially if youre on the fence about it, its an amazing console and I have a lot of fun playing with friends and family. The build of the console and joycons are very nice and I like the texture as well. I mostly play in handheld or docking mode but I will say the joycon grip is a nice addition to the packaging. I would definitely suggest getting a pro controller if you mostly play with the console docked, its an amazing controller and dont regret picking it up. Another essential pick up is a microSDxc1 because of the low storage capacity in the switch console. Id recommend a 128 Gb or higher to store all of your favorite games

What more can I say about this system If you dont have a Nintendo switch, you need to go out and get one now You can play the system on the go or you can use the dock to connect the system to your TV and play at home. This versatility is what gives this system such a huge appeal. Not to mention the first party and third party games that are available for the system, which for the most part are all extremely high in quality. Now the online functionality, an online menu still needs tweaking however it gets the job done. There are three versions of this system. The initial version that comes in a primarily white box which is the original, the second version which comes in a primarily red box which has better battery life and the smaller handheld only Nintendo switch lite. There arent many bad things I can say about this system period in fact this system happens to be on my top three favorite systems of all time. To keep this review short, Im going to reiterate what Ive already said in the beginning . No matter who you are, or how old you may be, pick up the system and enjoy yourself.

I have to admit that I like the different games and it doesnt need to be hooked up to the internet for my kids to have fun. Thats where my love for it ends. It is a very difficult system to learn. Not nearly as user friend as I was led to believe from ads. No manual included in the box. Everything is an electronic tutorial, which is fine if you can find it before getting frustrated and wanting to throw through a window. Every game has a tutorial on what button does what. Watch them. It will help immensely and keep your children entertained. The other drawback I see to this system is while the split controllers are a really cool idea, they are not easy to learn how to use or how to get the system to recognize you have split them and are using them separately. Plus all the things out there to make the system more user friendly and fun of course is more to spend. The 300 price is just the beginning. To date with the purchase of only 5 games and a few additional items. We are closer to 600. Be aware of this when thinking of this system. Its not as inexpensive as it may seem on the surface.

In terms of raw horsepower CPU, graphics, whatever the Nintendo Switch is far behind the current generation of consoles like the XBox One. But, the Switch is a unique device. As a handheld, it is quite powerful the latest iteration nearly doubles the handhelds battery life, addressing the Switchs greatest weakness. This allows you to play the same game on your TV and keep playing it as you take it out with you a unique ability. Most importantly, there is a staggering array of software available for it. Software is what makes or breaks a console, no matter how good it is.For example the Zelda game Breath of the Wild is a visual stunner with a huge open world. And this is the first portable system that has the full version of Skyrim available for it the reason I bought it a high quality port of Skyrim with the 3 addon packs. Nintendo has also done high quality ports of other gems from older consoles such as Mario Kart 8 as well as a lot of new titles such as Super Smash Brothers Ultimate or Luigis Mansion 3.In addition, their digital store has a lot of quality indie games such as Stardew Valley. Also, if you purchase the Nintendo Switch Online membership 20year Nintendo also gives you a large selection of NES and SNES classic games. The membership is worthwhile for that alone.Basically, because Nintendo is ONLY selling the Switch as a current console the 3DS is on its way out, all of their best software goes to the one console. And that gives developers strong incentives to bring their best titles over as well.If you want a wide variety of games, the Switch is a good choice. If you want THE best console graphics or performance, obviously the Switch isnt for you.

I am so glad that I purchased the Nintendo switch console system for my children. I also enjoy this console because it Incorporated all of the older games from my childhood that I used to play on Nintendo DS and a N64 system. It is easy for my children to swap from the TV to the portable system. And the setup to the TV was very easy… It is a fairly expensive system but again it is well worth it and I am glad that I took the opportunity to get this for my children especially given the recent pandemic situation that had my children at home a lot more than usual. The only thing that I dont like about this console is the joysticks have been known to have a problem with the toggle button where the toggle buttons tends to get stuck and then cause your characters in the gaming system to float from one direction to the other which in the middle of a game can be very frustrating. That requires you to purchase new joysticks. I read about this in the reviews of the system prior to purchasing and within one month almost all of my joysticks out of the four I purchase all began this picking process. But the system is so good that naturally Im going to buy some more. The joysticks are also quite expensive. Purchased two of them from Nintendo on Amazon its about 45 for a new set of joysticks. When I purchase some more I am hoping that they will not as easily get stuck but I kind of anticipate that that is what will happen given the reviews on this topic. So what can I say my children love this game system and so do I.

The Nintendo Switch is the gold standard of handheld gaming devices. The graphics are amazing and the device itself plays really well with no problems. It is very durable. The joy cons controls are red and blue. They can detach from the switch and be played by themselves or put into a comfort grip controller base to play with more ease. All of this is included as well as a docking station to hook it up to the tv. If that wasnt enough you get to play all the great games. If you are a fan of old school video games like Mario, Zelda, and Donkey Kong this is the device you want as they are exclusive to Nintendo. The Switch also allows the ability to play those original Nintendo and Super Nintendo games which provides hours of fun and nostalgia.

Complete and utter cash grab from Nintendo. First, they dont include a copy of the game. Youre literally buying a basic switch console and you have to buy the AC game on top of that. Considering other special edition switches come bundled with the games, this is really poor value. Secondly, the switch still has unresolved joystick issues. Eventually your left joystick is going to drift. While Nintendo offers a repair program, you either dont play with a joycon while you have it mailed in, or you can use a joycon that doesnt match your console. I get that this product is super cute and the aesthetics matter I bought it for looks alone too but AC fans deserve better than this blatant cash grab.

After owning a Nintendo Wii a while ago we finally updated to the Nintendo Switch. Definitely missed playing all the Mario games Graphics are pretty good and using the system is smooth and easy as well. Its really neat to be able to continue playing on the handheld which the screen is fairly big and clear. Game selection is good for my taste My 5 year old daughter can even play Mario Kart and Mario Party with me. Bought a controller charging station, one additional joy con controller and two additional basic controllers for multiplayer use. Overall a great system

Great Product. I got it for my kids for Christmas and they love the thing. It came in great condition and I bought online and had it shipped to a local Walmart. Extremely fast shipping, less than 2 days. The only downside, which was a little sketchy, is that this is the first version of the Switch and they dont do a good job of clarifying it on the details page. It says original but if youre like me then your thinking original, as in its not a fake or some kind of imposter product, and it has the correct model number, so if you are thinking about looking up model numbers you will find that there is a newer version of the Switch than this one. The new models battery is supposed to hold a charge longer and better graphics if youre playing it on a t.v., from what I have read, but my kids said it stays charged long enough for them and I think the graphics look good on the device itself so we are all very happy with this product. I will just do my homework with the products on Walmart I have had similar transactions from now on. I would bet its not only Walmart that uses this technique. I figure they probably just wanted to get rid of all the older versions, because who would buy an older version of something when they could get a newer version for about the same price. The Switch I got was the same price as the new but came with a free game and was marketed as a Black Friday deal. But my kids, who are in their teens, dont care and are quite happy with this Nintendo Switch.

I bought this system due to my daughter bringing hers home from college for winter break and how much fun we had playing Mario Party as a family. So after she left I picked up the system and a few gamesincluding Mario Party .On a computer, Im into more hardcore adventure type games, but having grown up on Atari and Nintendo systems, on game systems I generally prefer games that I refer to as cute little guys doing cute little things. Like all the Nintendo systems before it, the switch has tons of options for this type of game including the whole array of Mario games. My biggest complaint is I wish that the included controller holder thing was the newer version with a USB port for charging, so that I wasnt forced to either buy another piece of hardware to charge the second pair of controllers or remember to swap them out. Or possibly adding a pair of slots to the base for charging a second pair of controllers since lets face it 95 of people buying this system are going to get a second pair of controllers. While I will normally be using it docked and connected to the TV, the ability to go handheld is nice, almost makes me look forward to my next long plane flight…….almost.Is this system for everyone, certainly not, but the array of multiplayer family friendly games will certainly make it the right system for some.

If youre looking to buy a Nintendo Switch Console and are a fan of Animal Crossing, this is certainly a satisfying purchase. Its very cheery, and I love looking at the docking station so glad I opted for this special edition vs the basic grey Switch. The control pads are super cute, the color here on my monitor looks accurate, and in reality they have a soft matte finish, very satisfying to the touch. Remember, youre not getting the Animal Crossing game included with this AC New Horizons edition, thats a separate purchase. So if youre gifting it, you might want to add the game so theyre ready to roll in full Animal Crossing fashion. I recommend any Nintendo Switch console, and this adorable edition is just icing on an already delicious cake

I do like this game, its fun, easy, friendly for all ages and the gameplay is nice, your not fully restricted to the story and you can go off and do your own thing. It can be quite addictive farming bells and building up your island, taking part in the challenges, expanding your home etc. Three real niggles I have are1 The repetitiveness of it. Whenever you fish, net or dive for something it has a little thing it says about each thing BUT it does this every. single. time. When you are grinding and youve caught 1000s of each thing it gets very wearing to wait for this dialogue and carry on. 2 The multilayer, I found this quite pointless, my husband created a profile and he visited my island and could basically do nothing on it aside from follow me around. Didnt see a reason for him to be there at all. 3 Certain gameplay is limited unless you have a membership, I can obviously understand why they do this but when youve paid 40 for a game to be told you cant access certain bits unless you pay more stings a bit and Ive not yet found the need to join up for these extras yet. Otherwise, I do LOVE it and even with these things I would highly recommend getting it, especially if you get nervous or have anxiety it really is a lovely calm game to play.

What more can I say that the reviews havent covered already From its dual configuration as a handheld a home game console, to its unique gaming experience offered by its signature style controllers, as well as diverse dense catalog of new classic Nintendo titles, the Nintendo Switch 32GB Console has everything you need. Dont forget about Nintendos digital eShop providing each Switch owner the opportunity to download independent titles as well just dont forget to purchase a SanDisks microSDXCMemory Card since 32GB of storage simply isnt enough space. Whether youre single, in a relationship, sharing a space with family or friends, this console is literally for everyone. Great gaming console The biggest sale point of this game console is its convertible feature, which means you can take it out and play it like a handheld game device, while it can be docked and output to TV when it is at home. When it is in handheld mode, the screen is touchable as well, like a mini tablet. To be fair, its not the most powerful and nicest screen output like 4K you can find from competitor like PS45. So, if you are a hardcore video game fans that quality of screen output is your first priority, this is not for you.The screen output is HDMI 1080p, but its more targeted for people who are looking for a versatile solution, can be played handheld and docked to output to big TV screen. Of course enjoy lots of motion games with the joycon.

The Switch games are great, but my Switch console came with a malfunctioning SD port. I verified this by trying two separate, knowntofunction SD cards, including one of the offical Switch Sandisk cards with the Nintendo Mushroom on it, so its not a compatability issue. Ive followed all of the steps suggested on Nintendos site too, without success. So, because I cannot expand the sytsem memory, I can only fit two or three flagship games on it at a time. I must delete and redownload games I have alreadsy purchaed digitally that dont fit.For example, Mario Kart, Mario Party, and Smash Brothers take up so much room I cant even download the new Smash Bros. update. Its a ridiculous position to be in. And all but one of my game purchases have been digital instead of physical, so thats 200 of games that I cant do anything else with, and digital games are nonrefundable, of course. This is less than five days after picking up my Switch from Best Buy, which I managed to snag through the Best Buy site after 4 months of looking. And because of stock issues, an exchange is impossible. I can only return it and hope to find another one somehow. While the Best Buy manager at my local store many thanks to Kevin, who was kind and sympathetic has graciously extended my return period again, not the exchange preriod, but simply a return for a refund because of those stock issues, it is still incumbent upon me to find one to replace it in the next 30 days. So I have to spend many more hours of my life dealing with this.tldr Check your Switch SD port and other funtionalities immediately after purchase and hope you dont have a defective one, otherwise youll have the same soulsucking dilemma Im currently facing.

I managed to snag this one by camping on the website all day and night and following online alerts to tell me when the Switches were being restocked. It was a major hassle, but Im glad I went through it because the Switch is worth it.The console itself has such a small footprint compared to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. With the upcoming PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X looking to be such massive bricks that look more at home at a computer desk than an entertainment center, its relieving to still have a system that doesnt get in the way of anybodys preferred gaming setup. The systems UI itself is very nice and clean too, its very easy to navigate and get to where you want to go to once you put in a few minutes to get the hang of it. Once again it contrasts with the other two major consoles that throw so much more information at you at once, it can feel a bit cluttered by comparison. The game library is outstanding too. I already own six games and still there are more Im interested in buying too. Some of them are just releases and updates of Wii U games, so if you already had that you may not have as many games to play, but if youre like the majority and never bought that youll benefit from all the games you missed the first time around. Plus, having all of Nintendo focused on the Switch instead of being divided between a handheld and console means there will be plenty of first party support to come. There are three downsides that I should mention. The first being that because its Nintendo, you better be prepared to pay 60 for most of your games. The games on other consoles generally drop to 20 or 30 only a few months after they first launch, but Nintendo almost never lets their games drop in price. Youll have to keep an eye out for major sales if you want to save some money on these titles. The second downside is that the joy cons that come with the system just dont cut it for playing most games. Theyre designed to work with the Switch in handheld mode, but I feel theyre inadequate for long gaming sessions. Youll need to buy a Switch Pro Controller if you plan on mostly playing the Switch docked. Finally, the on system memory is insufficient if you want to store a lot of games digitally. Youll have to buy a microSD card if you dont want to constantly delete and redownload games.Overall, Im happy with my purchase and would recommend it to people who like Nintendo games. Just be aware of the hidden costs that come with owning one.

I recall my first Nintendo was a GameBoy color as a kid back in the 90s and mostly playing Pokmon, Mario, and Donkey Kong on all their mobile platforms up until the GBA SP when at some point I lost interest in favor of Xbox and PlayStation. I havent played or purchased a Nintendo system until a few months ago during the pandemic when I joined the craze of people buying a Switch. Im not interested in Animal Crossing, but I was interested in the games I once played rigorously in the past. Its taken me awhile to think about this review, but I can say that despite Nintendo not winning the console wars in terms of specs and graphics, its greatest achievement for me is to bring back the nostalgia of playing fun, simple games wherever I am without being stuck in one place. With Xbox and PlayStation to really enjoy the experience I have to sit down and cannot easily move things around I know Xbox has xCloud and PlayStation has remote play on Vita, but those werent available for me at this time. With the Nintendo Switch, however, I can have it docked when I want to play on my 85 Sony X900H or I can simply take it out and play wherever. During these times obviously Im not taking it away from home due to quarantine, but I can play by my pool, move it to another TV with ease, or while relaxing in bed. The Nintendo single player games themselves provide fun challenges that arent stressful at least to me and really take my mind off.I still enjoy Xbox and PlayStation and play them more often than the Switch, but this fills in the gaps for when I want the simple joys of childhood.

Ecstatic that I was able to get one of these systems almost a year after its release I bought a Switch Lite last year in order to play BotW and ACNH. It was difficult to play a game such as Smash Bros due to the small screen in portable mode. Also the inability to play Mario Party is what led me to wanting to upgrade. Now Im enjoying Immortals Fenyx Rising on my TV. A fantastic game I also highly recommend Started it on my switch lite and will be completing it on this upgrade. Its a nice attention to details with the ACNH theme. Overall very satisfied with the purchase. A little uniqueness for the same price as a Neon or Gray Switch.

What is there not to likeIve had the Xbox 1 and the PS4 since they came out but put off on buying the Switch when it came out. I cannot play first person shooter games, it literally makes me sick. With so many games coming out that are first person I have recently ran out of options of things to play besides my old standbys. We had to drive 2 hours to get this because evidently there are some greedy jerks out there who buy all the stock and then resale for a profit. Unfortunately for me and them both Im stingy. I still have less in gas and the console than I would have paid the inflated price. Jerks.Back to the console. I travel for work so I like that I can take the system with me and pass the time when I know Im going to be waiting, it beats trying to read things on my phone. I really like that I can charge the controllers on the console itself and dont have to buy a separate stand that is going to be finicky about charging if theyre not on there just so. Im a bit behind on games but Im not having any trouble finding titles to play that I enjoy.

Look, seeing this finally in stock after three months was a godsend. I was starting to see prices going for at least 400500 for one. So, when I found this in stock in best buy, I just threw money at them. It arrived on time and I was very happy for my purchaseI wanted to get this one as it has a better battery life than the older version. On a side note, I would recommend getting at least a screen protector maybe the pro controller if you are going to game heavily. I used the joycons for a couple of days and they feel too thin for my tastes. We abouslouty love our nintendo switch The screen is not to big nor small. Its perfect size. Its easy to hold in your hands. the two panels which are red and blue or etc. They come off when you press the little black line button. you can place on a controller that allows you to play it on the tv. Nintendo makes many games for the switch. It is touchscreen as well. The switch stays charged up for a few days. If you buy the gamestop switch bunble it comes with a switch holder that holds it when being played on the tv. It also charges the switch, the wire that hooks it up to tv, the switch, a code for three free games, a case for the switch, a wall plug in charger, screen protector and couple other things. a big plus the nintenido gaming membership online is only 5 bucks a month thats with the cloud to save more data. You can eathier buy the games on the store and download on the switch. You can also purchase games and slide then into the top every where the game goes into. It saves your game to your cloud automatically. the switch comes with 32 GB memory. Highly highly recommend nintendio Its amazing.

I have a gamer family and we always have a Playstation, Xbox, and a Nintendo. We had a Wii U before and was not impressed. Nintendo always seems to require an endless amount of accessories and many of its related products seemed gimicky. The Switch was everything the Wii U was supposed to be. You can play it like a tablet but it has detachable controllers which makes joystick drift issued easy to correct. Ive always liked cartridges and Switch games make it small so you can take your entire game library with you. The concept of playing on the tv, taking it on the go, playing games with other people and the 2 joy sticks being able to turn into 2 separate controllers is amazing. I just wish Nintendo would allow more 3rd party game developers to add to their library instead of waiting for the newest mario, zelda, or other Nintendo specific game franchise.

This is my second Nintendo Switch, upgrading to the HAC0101. The Switch is not the most powerful console the Xbox and PlayStation are graphical powerhouses in comparison. The Switch is, however, the most versatile console. What makes the Switch great in my opinionPros Nintendo games third party and tons of Indie titles Ability to play handheld instead of on TV Ability to pause the game by putting the console to sleep and then pick right up where you left off later without missing a beatCons Both Xbox PlayStation have better graphics and framerates Games are typically more expensive on Switch and sales on first party Nintendo games are rare in comparison The Switch eShop is a bit of a mess and tough to sort throughPlaying games on Xbox in 4k is great, but what if someone else wants to use the TV Not a problem for some folks, but in some households the Switch is a lifesaver, letting the kids, roommate, or Significant Other use the TV while you play in handheld, which the Switch does seamlessly just pick it up out of dock and resume play. Also, for me, the games were a big attraction. Im not into first Person Shooters or the most detailed racing games which both look and run much better on the TVbound consoles and PC. Adventure games and platformers shine on the Switch, ZeldaBreath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey being two prime first party examples that released in the Switchs first year personally, I regard Breath of The Wild as the greatest game I have ever played. There are honestly far too many games I find interesting on Switch for me to ever run out of games to play I already have quite the backlog, and many of them I got on the eShop on sale for very little money.Would I buy the Switch again Why yes, I already have.

Loving the game so far and especially looking forward to future events. Easy controls but Just a few things which I wasnt too fond of. For example how I can not choose the amount I would like to purchase as sometimes buying a bulk of 5 seeds isnt enough when I want 20 for decor and have to ask 4 times. An add to basket would be great too when buying other stuff, especially at the able sisters store. For a girl who loves all the clothing design. I would like to buy almost everything in the store. Another thing is when picking items the dialogue always come up after, which can be abit irritating for some reason, like picking up a shell and the same dialogue pops up over and over again… it makes the mind dull. I would prefer to skip it or not exist at all or at least only one dialogue pop up after picking up a new item for the first time. Moreover would love the freedom to move certain items freely and easily when doing construction, maybe a similar way to how you decorate your house rooms which I like as I can also look with a 360 view. I love how you can easily move or place items where we want them to be, so would be great for construction too. Finally, some other things to do or shopscafe open that open late like 24hours with maybe different characters swapping at certain times etc. I still work and sometimes dont finish till 10pm. I can only cleardecorate so much and visit nook mystery islands for a limited number of times so sometimes theres nothing to do. Or Maybe incoparating different things into the island as well as when travelling to mystery islands. Adding something like a mini game of sort with random prizecollectables that is 24hours for everyone to enjoy at anytime of day and which can change weeklymonthly so its limited time for a bit of an extra challenge and game play. There are more other stuff, however will not list all as some are just minor but still enjoying the game. I love taking my time decorating, catching the fish and finishing the museum but as Ive noted before some things make certain details less interesting over time but not something that would stop me from playing.

I ordered this for my sons birthday. We received it earlier than the original delivery date. The packaging was in great shape. Everything but the actual console looks new. The console is broken, missing parts, screen is in horrible shape. Its packed with dirt and grime. Its set in the blue screen of death and doesnt work Dont buy Ive requested a refund and am waiting for a response. Im very disappointed in the condition of this item. I could have gotten a brandnew system for a little bit more money. I chose refurbished as it keeps things out of the landfill and referbished usually means all the issues with the item has been fixed and the product is brought back to new condition. The box was labeled tested and works. But obviously it wasnt and trash was just put in the box. The model number shown in the description is of the newer version. But the model number on the one I got it the older version. Thanks for running my sons birthday. It wont let me add photos for some reason

I was able to place an order for this beautiful console the day of release during a brief period when they were available for the actual retail price of 299.99 and not for some inflated cost. The console arrived today and in great condition. The driver handed it to me directly, which was wonderful. The colors of JoyCons are two of my favorites and are quite peaceful to look at. The dock is adorable. A refreshing alternative to the standard black. As soon as I took the Switch out of the box I applied a tempered glass screen protector on it. I was also able to transfer user data and save data over from my old Switch to this new one. Something I wasnt aware I could do, which was a very nice surprise. I really hope they get more of these beautiful consoles in stock soon for the rest of the Animal Crossing fans.

The Red Nintendo Switch is a godtier device. The amount of power and potential hidden away inside this small portable console is like nothing that has ever come before it. I remember playing my first Switch and feeling underwhelmed by the loading speeds and graphics. Now that I have the Red Nintendo Switch I find myself blown away by the instant loading times and picture perfect graphics. The Red Nintendo Switch has also improved my life in so many more ways. I find myself more confident in daily interaction, I no longer wet the bed at night, and I also rekindled my relationship with my father. Without the purchase of the Red Nintendo Switch I would probably be laying in a gutter like imaging for life itself to just leave me like my father did all those years ago. Thank you Red Nintendo Switch for showing me the path to true happiness.Im just kidding. Its a Switch and it works like it should. Play SMASH

I must have misread, because it is clearly stated on the box, and the pageThe game is NOT included. I purchased this for my daighter because she has been asking for the switch and animal crossing game. I decided to surprise her with this Edition. I did not realize the game was not included, so on top of buying the platform, I had to spend 60 on the game too. I doubt if I had known, it would have made a difference, but any platform Ive ever bought that was a games edition has always come with that game. So if youre like me and assuming the game comes with it, know it doesnt and you will need to purchase it separately unfortunately. The design on the console is amazing. The colors scheme and designs are awesome. If you are a fan of the game, I definitely recommend this.

I have always been a fan on the nintendo console. This one allows for mobile playing and for playing on your tv. I struggle with motions sickness and even with the great graphics for games like the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild and Immortals Fenyx Rising, I dont struggle with playing on this console, while on the ps4, I cant make it through 10 minutes of gameplay without getting nauseous. For me, that is a win. I love the option of customizing the console mine is in chrome currently and how durable the console is. Its also the perfect size for playing on the go. The cons the joycons begin to drift after a while so I had to replace them with new ones. The nintendo switch games and accessories are expensive and Ive found the dock to be unreliable as it works sometimes and doesnt work other times

Switch gamingPros Vibrant, bright screen Good built in speakers Robust construction Ability to spontaneously play multiplayer games anywere, always makes friends and family happy whether on a late shift at work or on vacation Joycons slip off and can turn into individual controllers for many games Joycons can be put into a grip to make them more like a pro controller Good selection of splitscreen games Fantastic selection of indie games and SNESNES games with switch online Amazing battery life on this refreshed model SD card slot to store games downloaded onlineCons Outdated GPU Lack of cross platform titles that are able to perfrom well Framerate and resolution can drop a lot in 4 player mode depending on game Dock is unecessarily large and difficult to transport, but is required for TV output Software is based on FreeBSD, only a few nongame apps like YouTube available. No Internet browsing, no Spotify, no Discord, team communication based on a Nintendo AndroidiOS app Wifi does not support some authentication methods enterprisebusinsses use Adding friends to play with on Nintendo online is clunky. Nintendo online is a paid subscription and friends with Switch are less likely than those with XboxPS4 to pay for the subscription Nintendo does not support ABXY button remapping for those more familiar with XBOXPS4 layout third party dongles like the Switch Up can do this and let you use a controller from a different console No bluetooth headphone supportMy Take This is a great concept, executed with a razor sharp vision to provide a fun Nintendo gaming experience. With friends, it is truly fun like the good old days. Playing alone, it is easy to get lost in an amazing game. Note however, most of these games will be platformers, with a few notable exceptions able to squeeze decent performance out of the Switch in 3D like minecraft, Astral Chain and Nintendo first party titles. I had hoped for a mobile Rocket League experience but the graphics too stripped down. Even Fortnite runs just as well on a flagship phone or tablet from the last 23 years. The Switch is worth buying now. If in a year or two a new updated version is released and can service a wider variety of crossplatform titles, it may become an even bigger success and make other consoles irrelevant for casual gamers. However now that iOS 13 supports Xbox controllers natively gaming on an iPad might become the alternative unless Nintendo start focusing on online multiplayer and wider app support more seriously.

I cant say enough about how much fun the Nintendo Switch is, my kids and I love playing different games at home, and on the go. My son was able to take Lets Go Evee with him while we went grocery shopping, took long trips on the road, or anytime he wanted to play with his friends completed the game in under a week.I was able to play Lets Go Pikachu at home on the TV while he was at school, the switch makes playing game so easy, and fun. I can make dinner and bring the game with me, the removable controllers allows me to play while cooking, cleaning, and even while taking a bath. Thats so dope.Bubble baths have been so much fun since buying the console. Zelda, Pokmon, and Animal Crossing are great games, paired with the Switch makes me think what else Nintendo can come up with next.

As some one who started gaming on Atari and Original Nintendo I should of got this much earlier. I am mainly a PlayStation guy these days and avoided Nintendo for last few gens since the Wii just saddened me. I love my ps5 but it sits a lot lately lol. This system finally did what I have been trying to do for 2 decades. Get my wife involved in gaming. Well this did that in animal crossing. Once I got her one it was soon followed by mine, 2 of my sons and even my mother who enjoys it so much as a widow. Great family console that connect multiple generations. I avoided mostly cause in my stupid mind graphics but Nintendo reminded me that timeless graphics style are beautiful and the nostalgia of Mario and Zelda are comforting to an aging gamer. Set up is simple and online for family up to 7 for only 35 is a steal. Thank you Nintendo.

I had an original Nintendo switch and this is the updated second version. I can honestly say the battery life has been significantly improved over the original version. Im not sure if this new version claims any increase in game performance but at least to me, that still seems the same which is fine. Every game I have runs just as good on this switch as opposed to the original unit I had. I have had this unit for a while and purposely waited to post a review to be sure I did not have any joycon drift problems like I did with the first unit which Nintendo corrected anyway. Nintendo is a top notch company who stands firmly behind its product. I recommend this console for all ages, if you can find it in stock.

What not to love The color scheme is gorgeous, it runs smoothly, and every title Ive played so far on it has been beautifully rendered. The joycon are easy to get used to, going from portable to docked mode is effortless, and the joycon grip is actually pretty nice. My only gripes are the very limited storage some games are 32 gb alone and the lack of a pro controller from the outset which is absurd. I found a huge micro sd card that should serve me well since I love keeping my collection digital and unfortunately, the pro controller is a must have in my opinion. These necessary extras are kinda ridiculous due to the sheer price of them, but overall, Im happy with the system. In the future, Id like to see US versions come with a game, an eshop gift card, a pro controller, something The price of games and accessories alone insure that Nintendo will get there money back and some. The price tag is ultimately feasible for me because I love the ACNH edition not because Im a fan of the game Ive never played that franchise, but because the neon version is anything but cute and the gray is just drab. Just make sure you get it for 299.99 and not a penny more because they are out there, they have been coming back in stock, and scalpers deserve to lose money behind the stunts they pull.

I bought a Switch when Octopath Traveler came out, so around July 2018. I didnt play it much before Animal Crossing New Horizons came out, I estimate maybe two months total days of play time by then. And not 2 months of hours of play time, just free time on evenings after work and weekends.I played Animal Crossing Horizons every day for a couple weeks, and then suddenly one day after my system battery fully drained, that was it, it wouldnt work anymore.I left it sit on the charger for weeks, checking daily for a bit. But over the course of a month into 2 months, I would check occasionally and see if it would boot up.I gave up for months, and then suddenly one day, I thought Id give it one last try, and it worked. I played the Links Awakening rerelease on it fine for a bit, finished it, and put the system down again.Just the past day, I decided to boot it up and get Bravely Default 2, which that plan got cut short by a new surprise failure. The system has been sitting on the charger for weeks, with the joycons attached. But the right joycon isnt working, seeming to have a dead battery.I have never had a console system fail so badly in such a short time, and I played my preSwitch and PS4 systems to death. Ive barely touched this thing in nearly 3 years, and its been a piece of garbage.

The switch is a great platform, yet I find myself thinking its very cheaply made. If youve ever bought an off brand console from the flea market or something, like a knock off NES, thats what most of this console feels like. The joycons and the base for the screen are so cheaply made it litterly feels like something bought from the dollar tree. The games themselves are fine and fun, but everything else about the switch is cheaply made. I cant believe theyre charging the price they are for something that probably cost cents to make. While I do recommend getting this is if youre a Nintendo fan, I cant recommend it for anyone else. Even the other official controllers all feel cheap. I cant believe the joycons are 80, its crazy.

I bought this mainly for my dad to use. We use it on a big screen TV. It is never used portably. The quality of the graphics is awesome. My dad loves the different Mario games. It was easy to set up. I dont like the small size of the buttons on the controllers, so I bought a third party controller that connects wirelessly. It pairs easy with the Switch. I also dont like the and button locations on the controllers because I always accidentally hit them when removing controllers from console. My dad is very happy with it. He plays it everyday.

XAW is the old model, while XKW is the new model. Additionally, if you are buying an open boxused switch, you can tell which model you are getting based on the MOD number on the back of the unit.

Its a good console if you like Nintendo games. So why the three star review First, I think it is ridiculous that Nintendo forces you to buy another console just to play their games. Many gamers already own an Xbox, Playstation, PC, or maybe even all of those. Why on earth should I have to buy yet another console just to play Nintendo games. Second, in my opinion, Nintendo is bad with backwards compatibility. There are so many great Nintendo games that they havent even bothered to bring to the Switch. Why should I have to buy a console to play Nintendo games if I cant even play their back catalog Third, I didnt really find that many games on the system that interested me outside of Nintendo stuff. They should have more third party variety. That said, the hardware is very competent although underpowered of course versus Xbox and Playstation. I found the included controller the joycons plus the adapter to be very comfortable as a six foot tall male. I was concerned it might be too small but that wasnt the case it fit my hands great.

Ive been an avid gamer for the younger part of my life but stopped due to work. I picked this up for two main reasons a my partner wanted to play Mario multiplayer games only available on Nintendo and b I may be required to quarantine soon so need a mobile gaming device that could plug into TVs as a lifelong console gamer I just dont like handheld devices. This piece of plastic has been fabulous. Easy to set up, great games and excellent portability. Truly the fist hybrid console and Im very happy with the flexibility of options.Mind you, its quite expensive and has limited range of games. But they have sick titles like D3 and Monster Hunter Rise. These are games that can be enjoyed on a handheld device and more importantly have great multiplayer functions.A lockdown necessity Only wish there was a discount but ah well supply and demand.

Ive had this system now for about a week. One thing I love about it more than other gaming systems is how little space it takes Even for playing on your own, it is lightweight and easy to use. The touch screen takes away the hassle of moving the joystick to choose letters when signing in or inputting your name for a game. When it rests on its chargerhook up to the TV, it takes little room. There are only two cords needed, both easy to access. You can buy games in the Nintendo shop which takes out the hassle of buying in stores great for quarantining, and less space keeping game discssticks in your home.Noted, I have heard there is some trouble with transferring or the paid services not guaranteeing everything. However, I did not have a system before this that needed transferring, and I use no paid services for cloud hosting and such.Overall, its a great system with great games and doesnt take much space in your life to keep.

I have owned my Switch for about a month now and Im loving it. I had been looking for a Switch and to my surprise, despite there having been talk of lack of availability, I managed to snag one up. Personally I use this more as a hand held and dont connect it often to my TV, of which I cant really address the issue of scratching the screen when placing on the included dock. I will say, do get accessories for the system such as a case and screen protector. You can get these as a bundle with Switch accessories that usually include a case, game card cases, and a plastic screen protector. Also, see if you can manage to get the Animal Crossing or Mario Kart bundles because they already include these games respectively and the bundles arent common to find, at least for me. Overall, the Switch is easy to set up, getting physical games are a bit better since they wont take up much storage space as opposed to digital downloads, and playability is fun and easy. Currently Im playing Mario Odyssey and Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, and yes Im late to the game, but they are very intuitive and well thought out games, they are must owns. I am very happy with my Switch purchase

Nintendo almost nailed it out of the park with their newest game system by playing video games on the go or on your big screen tv with the Switch. But as with their previous console, WiiU, they still have a little ways to go before they perfect this hybrid game machine. I love the screen size on the Switch, the enhanced battery life of the newest model, the versatility of controller options but not a fan of the directional padanalog stick on the JoyCons, imperfections of JoyCons when snapped on the Switch my left JoyCon wiggles when attached, JoyCon replacements are 80 which is ridiculous and some gamers are experiencing the notorious JoyCon drift where the controller doesnt register input..so Im basically not really liking the JoyCon controllers. Also the home screen is functional but really basic and cumbersome. Where the Switch really shines though is getting the home console gaming experience and having the option of going portable with a comparable experience. The Switch portable screen is 720p and when docked, the Switch can output 1080p on your tv. The Switch graphics are adequate and comparable to the Xbox 360PS3 era so yeah, theyre a tad outdated. But with Nintendo, they have never been a game company pushing the limits when it comes to visuals. They rely on hardware innovations and with their latest game console, they have almost perfected their newest creation

The Switch Console is an awesome gaming system with a plethora of games. You can get a physical copy of the majority of the games and a digital copy of all. There are pros and cons for buying physical and digital, I wish games were like Movies in which you buy the physical and you get the digital as well the industry wont ever do this, they Love the control. I still dont like that you get just 1 freaking controller which is the entire industry not just Nintendo. The one negative with Nintendo is their constant harping on Motion, I am disabled not badly, but deal with Pain and a lack of motion. The tiny JoyCons at least come with a holder that allows the JoyCons to work better for adults. SPEND the extra 70 or so and get the Pro Controller which should cone with the console it us definitely worth the money. In summary, I have been lucky to have been a teenager when the Original NES came out in the 1980s and I have owned every system including the Handhelds. The 2 best Consoles were the Nintendo 64, Gamecube, and now the SWITCH.

Pros Super versatile joycons mean you can have 2x small controllers or connect together as 1 controller.Auto switches to handheld modebattery if the AC power cuts out. Dock is fantastic to play it on TV and compatible with CEC so turning on the switch turns the TV on and changes source. Step by step on screen instructions make setup and adjustment easy. Fast game downloads from eshop. No discsCons Can be fiddly to keep changing controller orientation between games but you pick it up quickly. Option to load games from cartridge to internal Multiple cartridge slots Cheaper official joycons though aftermarket ones are great.

My fiancee and I purchased this to satisfy our Mario nostalgia. The Switch has been an amazing purchase so far. We have it connected to our television like a traditional console. The ability to remove it from the dock and take it anywhere is a lot of fun. I can bring it upstairs to my office pair it with my pro controller and use the display with the fold out stand during breaks. My fiancee attaches the joy cons to it and plays it while relaxing in the hammock in the backyard. Battery life is exceptional we played it nearly the entire day the first day we set it up, only needing to put it on the dock around 10 hours later. The Switch has been every bit as much fun as we had hoped and we definitely recommend it to anyone looking to scratch their Mario itch.
